The article provides an analysis of the “Spanish code” inscribed in the text of Lesia Ukrainka’s drama Kaminnyi hospodar (The Stone Host). The constituents of the code include: 1) conventions of 17th century Spanish baroque drama, in particular, use of the dialectics of the concepts of dignity and reputation as a driving mechanism for confl ict throughout Lesia Ukrainka’s play and transformation within the classical scheme of characters suggested by Lope de Vega and his followers; 2) stereotypes of “Spanishness” through which the playwright produced a heteroimage of Spain. Lesia Ukrainka’s variant of the famous legend of Don Juan is a sophisticated modernist drama. The “Spanish code” serves as a prism through which the playwright examines the world. Lesia Ukrainka created an astonishing modernist tragicomedy of dishonesty, full of the spirit of uncertainty.

Lope de Vega's ‘Comedia,’ Sin secreto no ay amor, is contained in a volume of manuscript Spanish plays marked ‘Egerton. 548,’ in the British Museum. This volume, which is a quarto, bound in brown morocco, contains, besides the above ‘comedia,’ a number of others by Lope; they are as follows: Lo que ha de ser, Ay verdades que en amor, La competencia en los nobles, Argel fingido, and two ‘autos sacramentales:’El yugo de Christo, and El principe de la paz. Of these ‘comedias,’ Lo que ha de ser is an autograph, dated September 2, 1624, and is printed in Tom. XXII, de las comedias del Fenix de España Lope de Vega y de los mejores que hasta ahora han salido, Zaragoza, 1630; and also in Parte veinte cinco perfeta y verdadera, de las comedias del Fenix de España Frey Lope Felix de Vega Carpio, etc., Caragoça, 1647. Ay verdades que en amor is also an autograph, dated Madrid, November 12, 1625, with an approbation by Vargas Machuca, dated Madrid, February 4, 1626, and appeared in Veinte y una parte verdadera de las comedias del Fenix de España, Frei Lope Felix de Vega Carpio, etc., Madrid, 1635; also in Parte XXIX de las comedias de diferentes autores, Valencia, 1636. The rest of the plays are not in Lope's handwriting. La competencia en los nobles, dated November 16th, 1625, with a license to play signed by don Juan de Velasco, Pamplona, November 6, 1628, has, so far as I am aware, never been printed.

<p>En este estudio profundizo, a partir de lo que señala Lope de Vega y testimonios de la época de Felipe III, en la identidad real de la Diana de Jorge de Montemayor. Se trata de Ana Muñiz, natural de Valencia de Don Juan. Sitúo también a su esposo, Francisco de Valencia Colodro (Delio en la obra). A partir de diversos documentos que he localizado en la Real Chancillería de Valladolid, afirmo que Montemayor tiene razón en lo que sobre ellos expresa en su novela. Identifico a Sireno con Jorge de Montemayor, así como a los personajes de Duarda y Danteo y concluyo con una idea fundamental: debajo del disfraz pastoril se encuentran personas reales de aquella época.</p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong></p><p>In this study I deepen, from what Lope de Vega points out and testimonies of the time of Felipe III, in the real identity of the Diana of Jorge de Montemayor. This is Ana Muñiz, born in Valencia in Don Juan. I also place her husband, Francisco de Valencia Colodro (Delio in the work). From various documents that I have located in the Royal Chancery of Valladolid I discover that Montemayor is right in what he expresses about them in his work. I identify Sireno with Jorge de Montemayor, as well as the characters of Duarda and Danteo. And I conclude with a fundamental idea: under the shepherd's disguise there are real people from that time.</p><p> </p>

Resumo: O artigo leva em conta a recepção de Kierkegaard sobre o modo como os românticos lidam com o conhecimento e argumenta que o dinamarquês tem algo a dizer sobre temáticas de educação que estão hoje na ordem do dia. O artigo mostra ainda como Kierkegaard lida com temas transdisciplinares e em que medida a herança romântica, em contraposição ao legado iluminista, o ajuda a conceber sua reflexão pedagógica e existencial.Palavras-chave: Kierkegaard. Dúvida Abstract: The article takes into account Kierkegaard's reception of how the romantics deal with knowledge and argues that the Danish has something to say about education issues that are today the order of the day. In Athens in the late and early fifth century B.C. Eratosthenes, a well-known real Don Juan was killed. He sets his eyes on a young wife and seduces her, she is the wife of Euphiletus, a modest farmer, who spent a lot of time in countryside, away from his wife. Euphiletus, after the birth of his (first) son, places full faith in his wife. Having been in­formed about the affair, he catches her in adultery and, in front of some witnesses, kills Eratosthenes. The victim’s relatives hold a trial against the murderer, who before the Court gives a brilliant oration, written by Lysia one of the greatest orators of Athens.
