Software engineering is an engineering division connected with development of software product using well-defined scientific principles, techniques and actions. Two different types of activities like software framework activities and umbrella activities are included in standard software process model. Testing acts important job in software development process, i.e. the specified functionality and requirements are tested. The objective of this paper is to provide the software process framework and testing techniques for young researchers.

Objects needs verification through statistical model in software development process which are important in software industries now a day. Software development process consist of several steps right from analysis to deployment and maintenance, therefore statistical model would certainly analyses object(s) and its various qualities and its relationship during software development process. Earlier, we have designed a TMS where, object(s) being available for various purposes like accessibility, reusability in a development of software product or embedded product, thus statistical model justify the level of accessibility in terms of profitability and quantity of access. So far various statistical models have been implemented to identify and established the relationship but not all statistical model are used to analyses and calculate the parametric standard and determine the reusability factor in software development process model. In fact, this statistical model justified at various level of development and would help in determine cost of accessibility (CoA) and cost of reusability (CoR)

The primary purpose of the study was to develop a tool that will take advantage of the fact that many students of the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) bring their cellular phones or tablets everyday, and that they prefer the student handbook be installed on their gadgets rather than be made available as a hard copy. Thus, a digital student handbook software was created for Android devices. This was developed following a Rapid Action Development (RAD) method which is a proven and tested software development process model. The analysis phase of the chosen process model involved the identification of ways in which the contents of the student handbook are presented in a more readable way, which included convenient content-searching mechanisms compared to a portable document format (PDF) file. Designs were made to follow the results of the analysis. After developing the tool, a Black Box Testing was done, and an assessment was made for 404 respondents, and 97.71% of the respondents agreed that the tool helped provide guidance for the students’ formation and encouraged them to read, understand, and appreciate the contents of the handbook, as well as adapt to the culture of the university.

Keywords: Information Technology, digital student handbook, Rapid Action Development, Android, Davao City, Philippines

Software organizations have been struggling for decades to improve the quality of their products by improving their software development processes. Designing an improvement program for a software development process is a demanding and complex task. This task consists of two main processes: the assessment process and the improvement process. A successful improvement process requires first a successful assessment; failing to assess the organization’s software development process could create unsatisfactory results. Although very small enterprises (VSEs) have several interesting characteristics such as flexibility and ease of communications, initiating an assessment and improvement process based on well-known Software Process Improvement (SPI) models such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and ISO 15504 is more challenging in such VSEs. Accordingly, researchers and practitioners have designed a few assessment methods to meet the needs of VSEs organizations to initiate an SPI process. This chapter discusses the assessment and improvement process in VSEs; we first examine VSEs characteristics and problems. Next, we discuss the different assessment methods and standards designed to fit the needs of such organizations and how to compare them. Finally, we present future research work perceived in this context.

Heuristic evaluation is one of the most used techniques to evaluate the level of usability of a software product. In this research, we performed a comprehensive analysis of the recent studies which report the use of this method in the context of a software development process. The purpose was to identify the specific way in which each author performs this usability evaluation method, in order to propose a formal protocol. After an indeed examination of these studies, we have determined there are several differences in the way this technique is conducted according to the literature. There is no agreement about the number of inspectors that should participate, the usability principles that should be used, the profile of the specialists who must be part of the assessment team, or the evaluation process that should be followed. This work highlights the available settings and a detailed procedure to perform a heuristic evaluation in the domain of software products.

Industrial technology and its engineering depend on the integration of new technical trend, devices, its application and their business management processes. It also needs to consider the various situations in their working environment. Therefore, the system software engineer has to design the manufacturing system software considering accurate user need, system software requirement and matching their process to the machine in the design level when they make or develop the system software. In this paper, we discuss and make a process model for manufacturing system software. The software process model can be dynamical arrange their module when it needs re-arrange the sub module.
