The existence of an information system in the Library and Archives Department of East Kalimantan needs to be properly maintained and supervised so that the organizational system is in line with the agency's goals. One way to ensure this is to conduct an information system performance analysis. This study uses the Control Objective for Information and related Technology (COBIT) version 5.0, which is a best practice that provides activities managed by the IT organizational structure within a framework in the form of a product, to focus on execution and control that has been made from experts from the field of technology governance Information. This practice can maximize IT investment, to assess if there are errors in providing measurements made and delivering services. Therefore, in order to achieve the target, this research was carried out using the COBIT 5.0 framework in order to be able to analyze an information system performance at the Library and Archives Department of East Kalimantan. The results of this study indicate that MEA01 is at level 5 (Optimizing Process), MEA02 is at level 3 (Established Process), MEA03 is at level 2 (Managed Process). In this case the Regional Library and Archives Office of East Kalimantan to be more efficient in the use of IT requires handling of the factors that influence it so that it is maximal, the use of IT for all employees in the operation of the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) and also the person in charge of IT to keep pace with developments technology.

<p>Technology is rapidly develop in various aspects of life, especially in the field of education In the world of education, technological developments are applied to the use of library information systems. Nowadays many developers have offered the system for free, one of them is TeknoLIB and SLiMS. This study aims to measure the quality of a library information system using TeknoLIB (Library Management System) and SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System) based on ISO 9126 standards. This study uses 4 research methods, among others: questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was obtained by grouping data from experiment result and personal observation, direct answer to resource person, giving some statement with informant consent, and giving conclusion related to library information system.It can be used as a reference for developers in building a library information system to be able to create a better system. The results of this study indicate that Information Library System TeknoLIB is more qualified in terms of system look compared to SLiMS based on ISO 9126 standards.</p>

Purpose A case study of the Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum (WHELF) project to procure and implement a shared library management system (LMS) for all universities in Wales, together with the National Health Service Libraries in Wales and the National Library of Wales. In particular, the purpose of this paper is to explore the drivers to this collaboration, outline the benefits achieved and the framework to realise further benefits. Design/methodology/approach Case study review of the process, together with a review of literature on consortia and LMSs. Findings WHELF has developed into a more mature consortium through procuring and implementing a shared LMS. The process has delivered tangible benefits and is driving more work to realise further benefits. Research limitations/implications As the WHELF Shared LMS project is only nearing the end of the implementation phase, many of the anticipated operational benefits cannot be reported. Practical implications Useful case study for other consortia or potential consortia. Originality/value WHELF is in vanguard of consortia developments in the UK, and this is the first case study of the project.

Perpustakaan desa sebagai pengelola informasi harus berkembang dengan kemajuan teknologi yang ada. Pada dasarnya tujuan dari otomasi perpustakaan adalah untuk mencapai kegiatan pengelolaan yang efektif dan efisien. Otomasi diharapkan dapat membantu pustakawan dalam menyelesaikan kegiatan administrasi menjadi lebih mudah dalam pengelolaan sehingga dapat memberikan layanan yang cepat dan tepat bagi pemakai perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan  kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kepala perpustakaan dan petugas perpustakaan desa Kerano Kuncoro. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan data wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
