The grounding device plays performs the role of releasing a lightning current and a fault current in the power system, and the corrosion of the conductor will cause damage to the grounding body, which threatens the safe operation of the power system. The grounding grid corrosion detection technology and equipment guarantee the safe operation of the power system. This paper discusses the research status of grounding corrosion and topological detection in detail and introduces the basic principles, research difficulties and existing problems of the methods such as the electric network method, electromagnetic field method, electrochemical method, ultrasonic detection method and electromagnetic imaging method. The methods of electromagnetic imaging and time difference positioning proposed in recent years have been also discussed in detail. The paper points out that the application of grounding grid corrosion detection distance engineering still faces great challenges and that multi-disciplinary, multi-information fusion, new sensing technology, big data platforms and intelligent computing will be the trends to follow in research on grounding grid fault, corrosion detection and life prediction.

A grounding grid plays the role of discharging current and balancing voltage to ensure the safety of the power system. However, soil corrosion can damage the grounding grid, which then can endanger the safe operation of power system. This paper reviewed recent research advances of soil corrosion of grounding grid. The cause, mechanism, types, and influencing factors of soil corrosion of grounding grids were summarized, and the corresponding detection technology and protective measures were also introduced. The paper pointed out that soil corrosion is a serious threat to the grounding grid system. Moreover, the impact mechanism of AC stray current, new corrosion detection technology, and better protective measures still need in-depth research.

Leakage of the heat distribution pipeline will seriously affect the safety of residents and cause economic losses. This paper presents the transient electromagnetic method (TEM) for detecting the corrosion of buried heat distribution pipeline, which mainly introduced the principle of the TEM to detect the pipeline and the general detection method. Combining with an instance of corrosion detection of buried heat distribution pipeline in a certain street in China Hohhot, the detection results were analyzed and the feasibility of this method was proved through excavation. The results show that the TEM can detect the uniform corrosion distribution of buried metal pipeline and it’s effective and practical for detecting the buried heat distribution pipeline. The TEM could provide a new method for guaranteeing the safe operation of the heat distribution pipeline.

A new electron microscope imaging method has been developed that is especially suited to the study of thin biological materials. It involves the use of an electrostatic phase plate - a device which creates a more or less uniform difference in optical path between the unscattered and scattered waves by means of its electric field. This phase plate functions in an analogous manner to the absorbing bright contrast phase plate of light microscopy. The contrast effects and aberrations peculiar to the method have been examined and are discussed in terms of their likely influence on the image’s representation of the object structure. Analysis of electron micrographs of some biological test specimens, whose structure is relatively well known, confirms that this representation, to a resolution of ca . 0.85 nm, is a particularly faithful one. In the analysis the resolution limit was determined by the degree of specimen preservation, and a real limit, determined by the degree of spherical aberration in the objective lens, of ca . 0.5 nm is expected. A special property of the imaging method, as distinct from the conventional bright field method, is that it emphasizes the detail within the biological material itself, but reduces the contrast from the surrounding film of stain; negative staining remains necessary only because it helps to preserve the morphology of the specimen during irradiation. Evidence is presented that this property enables the method to display information about the specimen that it would not be possible to detect with the bright field method.

Transformer is the main equipment of power system, its operation reliability is directly related to power system security and reliability of power supply. In order to guarantee the safe operation of power system, must strengthen the monitoring of the main transformer. With the development and popularization of intelligent station, the detection of transformers insulation is faced with the new problem that PT signal is not convenient to get and even unable to get. This paper proposes the relative method which is used to calculate and monitor dielectric loss of transformer bushing and designs the on-line monitoring device, through the data acquiring form the on-line monitoring instrument which are installed in the transformer of substation shows that this method has high precision, strong anti-interference ability.
