In order to recover and utilize the potential energy of mining trucks efficiently, this paper proposes a nested optimization method of a novel energy storage system. By analyzing the multi-objective optimization problem of the oil-circulating hydro-pneumatic energy storage system, a nested optimization method based on the advanced adaptive Metamodel-based global optimization algorithm is carried out. Research shows that this method only requires a short time to solve the complex nonlinear hybrid optimization problem and achieves better results. The optimized energy storage system has higher system efficiency, energy density, and volume utilization rate, thus obtaining a smaller system volume and weight. Verified by the bench experiment of its powertrain, the hydro-pneumatic hybrid mining truck with the optimized energy storage system significantly reduces its fuel consumption and CO₂ emission. Thus, it lays the foundation for the practical application of hydro-pneumatic hybrid mining trucks.

Multi-station fusion mode (MSF) generally includes energy storage system, data center and electric vehicle charging station. It can improve the utilization rate of land and power distribution resources of urban substations. This paper studies configuration of ESS in the MSF model, aiming at reducing total cost. Firstly, an AC-DC system of MSF model is established. Then, aiming at economy, the optimal configuration model of ESS is established. Finally, the effectiveness of the model is verified by a practical example, and the MATLAB toolbox YALMIP with the CPLEX solver is used to conduct the ESS planning.

This paper presents a new power allocation method in the electrical hybrid energy storage system composed by batteries and supercapacitors (SCs) for electric vehicles (EVs). Based on the speed of EVs, the new power sharing strategy, adapted to different kinds of load profiles, regulates the SC state of charge (SOC). By comparison, the new strategy showed the shortest accelerating time and least power losses, which can efficiently improve dynamic performance and energy utilization rate.

In order to control the micro harmonic, maintain the micro-grid power balance, make it operate more safe, reliable, using the micro grid energy storage system and the active power filter in combination is put forward, so as to achieve the improvement of micro grid power quality, improve the utilization rate of energy storage devices and save the investment cost. The method is to simulated by the MATLAB to verify the feasibility.
