With respect to multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems in which the criteria denote the form of single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs), and the weight information is also fully unknown, a novel MCDM method based on qualitative flexible multiple criteria (QUALIFLEX) is developed. Firstly, the improved cosine measure of the included angle between two SVNSs is defined. Then, the improved single-valued neutrosophic projection is developed, and the corresponding improved single-valued neutrosophic bidirectional projection and single-valued neutrosophic bidirectional projection difference are investigated. Moreover, the partial ordering relation of SVNSs is developed. Secondly, an extended QUALIFLEX method based on an improved single-valued neutrosophic projection measure is proposed to handle MCDM problems in which the weights of criteria are completely unknown. Finally, an example for selection of a green supplier, as well as a performance comparison analysis, are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Multi-valued neutrosophic sets (MVNSs) consider the truth-membership, indeterminacy-membership, and falsity-membership simultaneously, which can more accurately express the preference information of decision-makers. In this paper, the normalized multi-valued neutrosophic distance measure is developed firstly and the corresponding properties are investigated as well. Secondly, the normalized multi-valued neutrosophic distance difference is defined and the corresponding partial ordering relation is discussed. Thirdly, based on the developed distances and comparison method, an extended multi-valued neutrosophic QUALItative FLEXible multiple criteria (QUALIFLEX) method is proposed to handle MCDM problems where the weights of criteria are completely unknown. Finally, an example for selection of medical diagnostic plan is provided to demonstrate the proposed method, together with sensitivity analysis and comparison analysis.

Recently, neutrosophic sets are found to be more general and useful to express incomplete, indeterminate and inconsistent information. The purpose of this paper is to introduce new aggregation operators based on logarithmic operations and to develop a multi-criteria decision-making approach to study the interaction between the input argument under the single valued neutrosophic (SVN) environment. The main advantage of the proposed operator is that it can deal with the situations of the positive interaction, negative interaction or non-interaction among the criteria, during decision-making process. In this paper, we also defined some logarithmic operational rules on SVN sets, then we propose the single valued neutrosophic hybrid aggregation operators as a tool for multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) under the neutrosophic environment and discussd some properties. Finally, the detailed decision-making steps for the single valued neutrosophic MCDM problems were developed, and a practical case was given to check the created approach and to illustrate its validity and superiority. Besides this, a systematic comparison analysis with other existent methods is conducted to reveal the advantages of our proposed method. Results indicate that the proposed method is suitable and effective for decision process to evaluate their best alternative.

Abstract Machining of aluminum and its alloys requires the use of cutting tools with special geometry and material. Since there exists a number of cutting tools for aluminum machining, each with unique characteristics, selection of the most appropriate cutting tool for a given application is very complex task which can be viewed as a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. This paper is focused on multi-criteria analysis of VCGT cutting inserts for aluminum alloys turning by applying recently developed MCDM method, i.e. weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) method. The MCDM model was defined using the available catalogue data from cutting tool manufacturers.

Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is a powerful operational model which are used to resolve decision making problems on the basis of different decision criteria. This approach has been widely used in many application fields by the decision makers to solve their problems. Although there exists different MCDM methods but the basic principle of MCDM method involves selection of criteria, selection of alternatives, selection of aggregation methods and weight criteria using these methods and finally evaluation of a set of alternatives performed based on criteria weights. This study presents a small description on the working principle and different methods of a Multi-criteria decision making and furthermore provides survey on their application in different fields.

Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method plays a key role to find out the best option from all possible alternatives. From different application areas Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method to find out the correct result. TOPSIS is a real-world and valuable procedure for ranking and selection of a number of externally determined substitutes through distance measures. In this paper, application of techniques for order preference by similarity of an ideal solution (TOPSIS) method is applied for solving multiple criteria (objective) optimization problem in mechanical and physical properties of jute/Al2O3 fiber based hybrid composites. The best performance value of composite is designed from ideal solution and as well as the worst performance value of composite is designed for negative-ideal solution. The results have demonstrated the model to be both robust and efficient.

All colleges each year organize the selection of new admissions. Acceptance of prospective students in universities as education providers is done by selecting prospective students based on achievement in school and college entrance selection. To select the best student candidates based on predetermined criteria, then use Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) or commonly called decision support system. One method in MCDM is the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Reality (ELECTRE). The ELECTRE method is the best method of action selection. The ELECTRE method to obtain the best alternative by eliminating alternative that do not fit the criteria and can be applied to the decision SNMPTN invitation path.

Dimensional analysis under linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy set (DA-LPFS) is a technique to handle qualitative (intangible) as well as the interactions between criteria, by combining dimensional analysis (DA) and Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) with linguistic variables. In this paper, a novel DA method is proposed for LPFSs based in a PFS extension, in order to consider the mutual relationship among criteria and handle qualitative (fuzzy) and quantitative (crisp) information usually involved in Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems. Finally, DA-LPFS is applied to handle a case concerning the selection of CNC router to illustrate the applicability of the method.
