In this paper, we study the matrix representation of fuzzy soft sets, complement of fuzzy soft sets, product of fuzzy soft matrices and the application of fuzzy soft matrices in medical diagnosis presented by Lavanya and Akila. Additionally, a new method (max-min average) based on fuzzy reference function is introduced instead of the max-product method by Lavanya and Akila to extend Sanchez’s technique for decision making problems in medical diagnosis. Using the same data by Lavanya and Akila, the result shows that the new method gives more information about the medical status of the patients being considered in relation to a set of diseases.

We introduce the concept of generalised interval-valued fuzzy soft set and its operations and study some of their properties. We give applications of this theory in solving a decision making problem. We also introduce a similarity measure of two generalised interval-valued fuzzy soft sets and discuss its application in a medical diagnosis problem: fuzzy set; soft set; fuzzy soft set; generalised fuzzy soft set; generalised interval-valued fuzzy soft set; interval-valued fuzzy set; interval-valued fuzzy soft set.

Soft set theory is a newly emerging mathematical tool to deal with uncertain problems. In this paper, by introducing a generalization parameter, which itself is trapezoidal fuzzy, we define generalized trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets and then study some of their properties. Finally, applications of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets in a decision making problem and medical diagnosis problem are shown.

Combining interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft sets (IVHFSSs) and a new comparative law, we propose a new method, which can effectively solve multiattribute decision-making (MADM) problems. Firstly, a characteristic function of two interval values and a new comparative law of interval-valued hesitant fuzzy elements (IVHFEs) based on the possibility degree are proposed. Then, we define two important definitions of IVHFSSs including the interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft quasi subset and soft quasi equal based on the new comparative law. Finally, an algorithm is presented to solve MADM problems. We also use the method proposed in this paper to evaluate the importance of major components of the well drilling mud pump.

This article describes how Smarandache defined neutrosophic sets to handle problems involving incomplete, indeterminacy and awareness of inconsistency knowledge, and is further developed to neutrosophic soft expert sets by Sahin et al. Adam and Hassan defined multi Q-fuzzy soft sets as an extension to fuzzy soft sets and gave its applications. This article will extend this further by presenting a novel concept of Q-neutrosophic soft expert sets, and define the associated related concepts and basic operations of complement, subset, union, intersection, AND and OR. This novel concept enables the single dimensionality of soft expert sets to be extended to two dimensions. Then, this article constructs an algorithm based on this concept. The following will illustrate the feasibility of the new method by an example. Finally, a comparison of the proposed method to existing methods is furnished to verify the effectiveness of the novel concept.

A method based on grey relational analysis and D-S theory of evidence is proposed for fuzzy soft sets in decision making. Firstly, grey relational analysis is used to calculate grey mean relational degrees and determine uncertain degrees of parameters. Then based on uncertain degrees, suitable mass functions of different independent alternatives with different parameters can be constructed. Next, D-S rule of evidence combination is applied to aggregate these alternatives into a collective alternative. Finally, these alternatives are ranked and the best alternative(s) are obtained. Moreover, the effectiveness and feasibility of this method are demonstrated by comparing with the mean potentiality approach and giving an application to medical diagnosis.

In this paper, we rst dene picture fuzzy soft sets (PFSS) and study some of their relevant operations such as subset, equal, complement, AND,OR… and so on. we investigate some theorems on picture fuzzy soft sets based on union and intersection with counter examples. Also we proved a necessary and sufficient condition for the dual laws of PFSS theory. Finaly, we then introduce an algorithum based on relational picture fuzzy soft matrix to solve decision making problems.
