One of the main challenges of the future is the strengthening impact of environmental factors on economic development, in particular, environmental threats, climate change, waste minimization and reduction of СО2 emissions. At the present stage, achieving sustainable economic development has become an important item on the global agenda. The purpose of this article is to develop the theoretical foundations of the process of greening in the economy and substantiate practical approaches in Ukraine to overcome global climate challenges. To achieve this goal, the author used retrospective research methods, and abstract-logical, economic-statistical and systematic approaches. Based on the analysis of scientific works of foreign and domestic scientists, the article deepens the theoretical foundations of the concept of greening. In particular, it is established that this concept characterizes the improvement of environmental parameters of production through the introduction of technological, organizational and managerial innovations that increase the efficiency of natural resources, reduce man-made impact improve the quality of the environment and increase the level of environmental education and environmental culture of the population and industrial staff. The results of the study showed that in modern conditions the concept of sustainable dependence of the economy on environmental factors has been formed, which is supplemented by the problem of solving global challenges of mankind. This requires the introduction of new economic approaches to addressing the global challenges posed by climate change, among which the introduction of the principles of circular economy is important.

The global population is on the path of an increasing trajectory with a simultaneous decline in arable land resources through salinization and desertification that have resulted mainly from climate change and other anthropogenic activities. Rising temperatures will cause changes in the entire ecosystem, resulting in significant alterations in global climate paradigms and a threat to food security. This review focuses on how the highly resilient Chenopodium quinoa Willd. can sustainably mitigate some of the detrimental impacts, such as starvation, and support or provide ecosystem services. In comparison, compared with the traditional staple food crops, quinoa has remarkable tolerance to abiotic stresses and is highly nutritious, with a unique balance and higher amounts of nutrients, and can therefore be an important crop for food security and nutritional adequacy. This crop has the potential to ameliorate global challenges with respect to increase in global population, effects of climate change, desalinization, phytoremediation, satisfying nutrient deficiency, and alleviating poverty.

The evolution of modern scientific schools of global challenges research, in particular global climate change, are considered in the article. Concept of "limits of growth", "stabke development", "mitosis of biospheres" are considered as base scientific approaches of comprehension and settlement of modern global challenges. An author agrees, that an anthro-pogenic factor is one of key point of global climatic changes. There is shown in the article that developments within the framework of concepts of "limits of growth", "stable development", "mithosis of biospheres" and "controlled global development" stimulated experimental researches and designs of future humanity, declared about global ecological challenges to humanity, and put beginning to the programs of new humanism, criterion ‘‘to think globally". Also showed that for positive changes and prevention of collapse it is nesessary the quality changes of human thinking and joint efforts of all actor of international relations. An author shows that from the one side, scientific researches towards to the decision of global climate change problem, are the basis of political decisions of national governments and international organization, and from other side, despite the plenty of scientific approaches and practical developments, today there is no universal model of global climate change prevention, in particular, to the global warming.
