The results of experimental and theoretical researches of crack resistance, development and growth of cracks of a fragment of a reinforced concrete multi-storey frame of a monolithic building with prestressed beams for a special emergency impact caused by a sudden removal of one of the load-bearing elements are presented. Removal of the middle column of the frame was considered as an emergency impact. Analysis of the pattern cracking in the frames with a prestressed beam before and after a special impact is carried out against the pattern cracking in an unstressed frame structure. Based on the increments of cracks width in the beam, the coefficient of dynamic additional loading in prestressed frame structures from a special impact was calculated. The obtained results of experimental and theoretical researches of the crack resistance of frame structures in considered influences can be used in the development of methods for protecting the frames of monolithic multi-storey buildings against progressive collapse.

It used lead core type laminated rubber pad as a base isolation device. Using the ANSYS software, it analyzed the modality of a multilayer concave-convex irregular reinforced concrete frame structures before and after seismic isolation. Comparison of the cycle, frequency and modal participation mass coefficient of the multilayer concave-convex irregular reinforced concrete frame structure before and after isolation in Kobe wave. It concluded that the lead laminated rubber bearings for multilayer concave-convex irregular reinforced concrete frame structures have seismic isolation effect.

This paper take a reinforced concrete frame structures storey-adding transformation as an example, analysising and calculating the whole structure adding layer before and after, then discussing the reinforcing measures of the column during the design of this processing. The using condition shows that reinforcing measures is very safe and effective that the project has adopted, and it can serve as a reference for the design of similar projects.

In order to study the degradation law and seismic performance of reinforced concrete frame structure with the extension of service time under normal service environment, the multi-scale modeling of corroded reinforced concrete frame is carried out by using the general finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The correctness of the multi-scale modeling method is verified by the experimental data of corroded reinforced concrete members and single frame. The pushover analysis and elastic-plastic time history analysis of a four story reinforced concrete frame structure are carried out by using a multi-scale model. Then the seismic response and damage of RC frame structures with different service time are compared. The experimental results show that the established seismic performance model of reinforced concrete frame structure is more practical in practical application and can meet the research requirements.

It has been found that the forces in the members of frame structures considering soil-structureinteraction, differs than conventional method of analysis. Analysis considering soil-structure interaction is time-consuming process; hence, if the relation between two methods established, then by using conventional method, realistic results can be obtained. In the present work, effort has been made to study the impact of soil-structure interaction on the progressive collapse assessment of reinforced concrete frame structure (building). It is clear that the differential settlement of the foundation changes the load transfer system of the super structure. Differential settlement depends on the properties of the soil below foundation and the stiffness of the super structure. The objective of this study is to quantify the change in the reaction at the foundation level due to soil structure interaction. To achieve this target, the Winkler approach is used. In this model, soil below foundation is modelled as idealized springs. To study the effect of failure of load carrying elements i.e. columns on the entire structure; 15 storey moment resistant RC buildings is considered. The building is modelled and analyzed for progressive collapse using the structural analysis and design software SAP2000. Nonlinear static analysis is performed to understand the progressive collapse phenomena. The nonlinear static analysis is found to be the most efficient method for progressive collapse assessment of the reinforced concrete structure with consideration of soil effect. General Service Administration (GSA 2003) guideline is used for loading and procedure to assess the potential towards progressive collapse of structure.
