Highway bridge engineering is an important part of modern transportation system. It has a great effect on the devel-opment of modern society. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the construction quality of highway bridge engi-neering. At present, there are more and more construction technology quality control issues in the construction of high-way bridges should be given enough attention. The problems should be actively found out and effectively solved to improve the quality of life, while promoting China development of infrastructure construction. This paper analyzes the quality control strategies in the highway bridge construction.

For the highway and bridge construction industry, the traditional management model has been difficult to adapt to the current information management background. In recent years, in order to comprehensively improve the information management level of highway and bridge engineering, the highway and bridge industry advocates the use of emerging technologies to achieve full-cycle dynamic management of highway and bridge engineering management, and try to ensure the quality of highway and bridge engineering management while improving The efficiency of highway and bridge design management. In view of this, this article is mainly based on the background of information management, researching and analyzing the application strategy of BIM technology in highway bridge design for reference.

This article filled up the blank between risk management in design stage and construction stage of bridge engineering, and proposed the concept of carrying out safety risk management through making prevention measures in construction organization plan. Based on the intrinsic safety theory, five elements, i.e. human, object, environment, system and method in bridge engineering construction management plans were analyzed by analytic hierarchy process and systemic analysis method. Fifteen crucial sub-elements were summarized and index system method was established for the safety risk assessment of sub-elements in construction management plans. Based on the research of the transformation of risk sources in construction management plan to risk events in construction period, expert survey method was established for the safety risk assessment of sub-elements in construction management plans.

A low tower cable-stayed bridge with a span of 30m+60m+120m+60m+30m had been built before Guidelines for Seismic Design of Highway Bridge was promulgated. Because of its impor¬tance and specificity, it is necessary to do research on seismic performance of this bridge. According to the numerical analysis, it is found that the structural response exceeds the allowance and the bridge might be destroyed if earthquake happened. Here, energy dissipated technology is chosen to cope with this problem. But traditional lead shear damper hasn’t the capabilities of large deformation for some reason and can not be applied to bridge engineering in general case. In this article, a new type of lead shear damper with capabilities of large deformation is used to achieve energy dissipation. Through comparing, it is found that the damping effect of this new damper is as good as that of viscous damper. And the damper has no problem with leakage and metamorphism. What’s more, it is much cheaper than vis¬cous damper. So, lead shear damper has a good prospect in bridge damping.

Bridge engineering concrete’s Freeze-thaw damage is the main durability diseases which take place in the service process of north China. Aiming at the Songhuajiang Highway Bridge being located in the cold-warm alternant area, According to this environmental characteristics, a batch of concrete samples were made in the construction site by using Material and ratio of the Bridge’s practical construction, they were shipped back to the laboratory and then were used in freeze-thaw test and carbonization test under the influence of freeze-thaw. Obtained the dynamic elastic modulus and compressive strength variation regulation according to the freeze-thaw circles of the concrete specimens. Analyzed the relation between laboratory experiment and field atmospheric exposure test, the paper constructs the durability degradation appraising model and predicts the maintenance-free life of Songhuajiang Highway Bridge. It has important meaning for the maintenance and repair measures in the process of this bridge.
