With the accelerating pace of urbanization, the development and application of urban underground space has attracted much attention. In the construction of urban underground space, geotechnical engineering safety is the key point for construction. Based on this, this paper analyzes the application of geotechnical engineering safety technology in urban underground space construction, in hope that this analysis can provide a scientific reference for the rational application of geotechnical engineering safety technology as well as the construction and development of urban underground space.

The pollution problem arising from the flushing of initial rainwater and wastewater from accidents while transporting dangerous goods to source water protection areas needs to be solved as soon as possible. Therefore, the design of corresponding environmental protection measures should be considered in the engineering design stage. It is necessary to analyze the specific work in combination with engineering examples. Under this background, this paper first briefly expounds the precautions in accident risk analysis and the design of tank capacity and tank body. Finally, by analyzing actual cases, this paper systematically studies the design strategy of emergency pool in source water protection area, hoping to provide new development ideas for the upgrading of relevant work.

A steel underground pipeline with a diameter of 2.4 m and a total length of 3,617 m (plate thickness of 26 mm) has been constructed in a city in central Hubei, and the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project has been lifted from the upstream channel to supplement water to the downstream lake inside the city. Through preliminary geological survey data, site topographic and geomorphic survey, urban construction, as well as the requirements of the construction party, the preliminary arrangement of working wells and receiving wells as well as the selection and customization of pipe jacking machines have been proposed. Frequency conversion motor and remote monitoring technology are adopted for geotechnical change and long-distance pipe jacking. Through detailed survey, the rock and soil change section as well as gradual change conditions have been determined, the accuracy of construction mechanics calculation and construction operation control have improved, the basis and analysis basis are provided, and some experiences in construction operation are summarized.

Self-cleaning coatings for tunnels can effectively remove dust and stains accumulated over the surface of tunnel linings and their appurtenances due to the closed environment and poor ventilation. This paper systematically introduces the current research status of self-cleaning coatings for tunnels, focusing on the development of super-hydrophobic self-cleaning coatings, superamphiphobic self-cleaning coatings, exhaust gas degradation coatings, fire retardant coatings, and tunnel de-icing coatings. The advantages and disadvantages of the five functional coatings are then briefly described, and the problems of self-cleaning coatings for tunnels at the present stage are pointed out. Finally, the development direction of self-cleaning coatings for tunnels is proposed to provide a reference for the research and application of self-cleaning coatings for tunnels.

In September 2017, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly announced the first batch of “double first-class” construction universities, aiming to improve China’s education level and strengthen the country’s core competitiveness. In addition to first-class teaching and first-class scientific research, first-class universities should also have first-class campuses. The campus of a first-class university should have a complete range of infrastructure, scale, and function to meet the requirements of school-running and scientific research; it should also advocate sustainable development, which includes the concept of energy-saving, smart, and green. The traditional production methods and management models of the construction industry are far from being able to meet the needs of the construction and development of first-class campuses. Digital, intelligent, and informatized construction models are the only way for current campus construction.

The aim of this paper is to establish the notion of the creative city, show its essential characteristics, and critically evaluate and analyse what elements impact creativity and innovation in cities using real case studies and related literature. Finally, in the essay, the topic of whether or not China will have creative cities in the future is asked, and the feasibility of constructing creative cities in China is discussed, prompting a new way of thinking about China’s future creative city plan.

University hall is an important carrier of information exchange and sharing in higher education campuses, and the correct architectural design positioning can improve the value of university halls. There are many different features in the design and use of university halls and urban theaters. This paper investigates the feasibility study report and indexes of university hall projects, analyzes the indexes, construction scale and functional positioning of university halls in the pre-design period, summarizes some design suggestions, and believes that the use efficiency of university halls should be improved through intensive and compound construction to meet the needs of the rapid development of Chinas Universitys and universities.

This paper mainly introduces the research and application of the technical features, technological principles and construction procedures of the pipe track inner mold in the construction of the pipe track through the silver pipe track project. The inner mold system is composed of trolley support; with a combination of large mold instead of cabin mold scaffold system. The cabin mold scaffold system optimizes the cabin mold system construction from “scaffolding ? installation mold ? reinforcement ? mold removal ? scaffolding removal ? horizontal transfer” to “inner mold trolley installation and commissioning ? trolley in place ? support form ? release mold ? mold movement.” Reduce labor intensity, conserve construction consumables, and assure quality and safety by reducing the expansion, deconstruction, and transfer procedure of the mold and supporting structure. The occupation time of internal mold trolley in each structural construction section is reduced, the trolley turnover efficiency is improved, and the economic benefit is improved thanks to the central support of early mold removal in the workshop, which serves as a model for the construction organization and technical treatment of similar projects.

The construction of a mountain expressway is critical to the development of the mountain economy and the creation of mountain areas. However, since the service life of many mountain expressways continues to increase, municipal transformation design is required to improve the smoothness of the expressway, make efficient use of space, and reduce resource waste. The author investigates the current challenges in the construction of a mountainous expressway and proposes an effective method for municipal reconstruction design of a mountainous expressway, in the hopes of assisting in the optimization and development of the mountainous expressway.
