Komunikasi Koperatif Nirkabel membentuk system komunikasi virtual array MIMO, yang dapat meningkatkan kecepatan pentransmisian data, kecepatan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kondisikanal, oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan analisis kondisi kanal. Kondisi suatu kanal dapat diindentifikasi dengan mengetahui karakteristik parameter fisikkanal, yaitu delay, sudut, dan amplitude kompleks. Deteksi parameter fisik kanal dari pengukuran kanal indoor maupun outdoor menggunakan metode dengan tingkat akurasi tinggi, seperti Space Alternating Generalized EM (SAGE). Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan SAGE untuk mendeteksi parameter sudut yang terdiri dari Direction of Arrival (DoA) dan Direction of Departure (DoD) menggunakan perangkat komunikasi Software Define Radio (SDR), yaitu Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) yang dapat mendeteksitiga sinyal dari pengukuran kanal indoor. Hasil SAGE divalidasi terhadap hasil Ray Tracing, dimana rata-rata kesalahan untuk deteksi DoD adalah 36.3% sedangkan DoA sekitar 29.3 %.

The estimation accuracy of direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) is reduced because of Doppler shifts caused by the high-speed moving sources. In this paper, an improved DOA estimation method which combines the forward-backward spatial smoothing (FBSS) technique with the MUSIC algorithm is proposed for virtual MIMO array signals in high mobility scenarios. Theoretical analysis and experiment results demonstrate that the resolution capability can be significantly improved by using the proposed method compared to the MUSIC algorithm for the moving sources with limited array elements, especially the DOA which can still be accurately estimated when the sources are much closely spaced.

Abstract In this paper, the design of a miniature antenna dedicated to the detection of airliners through the demodulation of Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast system (ADS-B) signals is presented. This antenna is designed for being embedded on the top of a drone in order to detect and avoid collisions with airliners. This antenna consists of an array of Planar Inverted-F Antennas, a quadrature feed network (FN) and a reflector plane (RP). The FN is designed to have output signals with the same amplitude and a 90° phase difference between each other. It achieves circular polarization and maintains the axial ratio of the antenna under −3 dB at the desired frequency (1.09 GHz). The antenna with the FN was manufactured and characterized. It weighs approximately 145 kg with its RP. The measured gain of the proposed antenna is about +3.7 dBi. To validate the design, the manufactured antenna was tested with a Universal Software Radio Peripheral for the processing of ADS-B signals at the French National Microwaves Days 2019 (JNM) student contest. The detection of airliners can reach up to 437 km.

In the paper, the estimation of joint direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) for strictly noncircular targets in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with unknown mutual coupling is considered, and a tensor-based angle estimation method is proposed. In the proposed method, making use of the banded symmetric Toeplitz structure of the mutual coupling matrix, the influence of the unknown mutual coupling is removed in the tensor domain. Then, a special enhancement tensor is formulated to capture both the noncircularity and inherent multidimensional structure of strictly noncircular signals. After that, the higher-order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) technology is applied for estimating the tensor-based signal subspace. Finally, the direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is obtained by utilizing the rotational invariance technique. Due to the use of both noncircularity and multidimensional structure of the detected signal, the algorithm in this paper has better angle estimation performance than other subspace-based algorithms. The experiment results verify that the method proposed has better angle estimation performance.

En este artículo se define la propuesta de diseño de un radio definido por software para la caracterización o sensado de la banda de telecomunicaciones móviles celulares. Para ello, se definen los sistemas de radiocomunicaciones utilizados en los servicios inalámbricos. Con este fin se caracterizaron las bandas de espectro radioeléctrico denominadas IMT (Internacional Mobile Telecommunication) y se analizan  los sistemas de radio definido por software para posteriormente presentar la propuesta de diseño. En donde se definieron las etapas de diseño de la plataforma de gestión, diseño del radio definido por software y el procesamiento de señal que permitirán generar plataformas con sistemas de USPR (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) mediante herramientas como MATLAB y GNU Radio.
