As promised I am writing the second part of my series of articles covering interactions I have had during my 30 years in Rhinoplasty. This focuses on my journey as a Rhinoplasty at a time when the specialty was developing in India. Nowadays with all the audio-visual aids and experienced surgeon learning Rhinoplasty is much simpler in India. But when I started, there was no authority on Rhinoplasty, at least in Mumbai. At the time there were some famous genral plastic surgeons treating 􀃶lm stars( but not particularly known for Rhinoplasty) but they were so secretive that they never allowed juniors to watch or learn their surgery , Especially if you weren't a plastic surgeon – I would go so far as to say it was considered a sin for an ENT surgeon to even think of Rhinoplasty, all that was expected from us was to divert cases like traffic policemen. As with all careers luck played a part, I joined as a Lecturer at theT.N.Medical college & B.Y.L Nair Hospital Mumbai,, the professor was very friendly with a German plastic surgeon and ordered a full Karl storz Rhinoplasty instrument set. ABSTRACTAim: The purpose of this article is to review modification and outcome of secondary rhinoplasty along with Abbι flap for correction of secondary bilateral cleft lip deformity. Materials and Methods: A total of thirteen patients of secondary bilateral cleft lip-nose deformity having tight upper lip, lack of acceptable philtral column, Cupid′s bow definition, irregular lip scars, and associated nasal deformity were selected. All the patients received Abbι flap and simultaneous nasal correction. All cases were treated during a period of three years. Mean patient age at the time of the operation was 21 years, and ranged from 16 to 27 years. The average follow-up period was three years. Results: Assessment of results was based on comparing preoperative and postoperative clinical photographs done by surgeon and patient relatives and patient satisfaction questionnaires. The columellar lengthening and upper lip vermillion correction achieved was satisfactory. There were no perioperative complications such as airway obstruction, bleeding, infection, wound disruption, or flap necrosis.

Abstract ?é?á Teaching mathematics for kindergarten and elementary students will be successful if the teaching learning process has a lot of interesting and exciting activities towards to students. Team of community service tries to give them the alternative method in order to make students more interested in joining the lesson. Using visual aids is the best way in transferring knowledge to understand mathematics easily. This training was given to the mathematics teachers of kindergarten and elementary in how to design some materials using animation and how to make interactive tests. The aim of this training was to equip the mathematics teachers to be able to use the CD animation and interactive tests related to their?é?á?é?á mathematic materials. The animation made was about playing and calculating by using PowerPoint Application 2007. By having this method, it is expected that mathematics teachers will be able to explore the lesson using it effectively and creatively. ?é?á Key words: mathematic, CD animation, interactive tests

AbstractPatient-specific instrumentation (PSI) has been introduced to simplify and make total knee arthroplasty (TKA) surgery more precise, effective, and efficient. We performed this study to determine whether the postoperative coronal alignment is related to preoperative deformity when computed tomography (CT)-based PSI is used for TKA surgery, and how the PSI approach compares with deformity correction obtained with conventional instrumentation. We analyzed pre-and post-operative full length standing hip-knee-ankle (HKA) X-rays of the lower limb in both groups using a convention > 180 degrees for valgus alignment and < 180 degrees for varus alignment. For the PSI group, the mean (± SD) pre-operative HKA angle was 172.09 degrees varus (± 6.69 degrees) with a maximum varus alignment of 21.5 degrees (HKA 158.5) and a maximum valgus alignment of 14.0 degrees. The mean post-operative HKA was 179.43 degrees varus (± 2.32 degrees) with a maximum varus alignment of seven degrees and a maximum valgus alignment of six degrees. There has been a weak correlation among the values of the pre- and postoperative HKA angle. The adjusted odds ratio (aOR) of postoperative alignment outside the range of 180 ± 3 degrees was significantly higher with a preoperative varus misalignment of 15 degrees or more (aOR: 4.18; 95% confidence interval: 1.35–12.96; p = 0.013). In the control group (conventional instrumentation), this loss of accuracy occurs with preoperative misalignment of 10 degrees. Preoperative misalignment below 15 degrees appears to present minimal influence on postoperative alignment when a CT-based PSI system is used. The CT-based PSI tends to lose accuracy with preoperative varus misalignment over 15 degrees.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract (1%). These tumors express the CD 117 in 95% of cases. The stomach is the preferential localization (70%). Diagnosis is difficult and sometimes late. Progress of imaging has greatly improved the management and the prognosis. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard for diagnosis, staging, and treatment follow-up. The increasing recognition of GIST’s histopathology and the prolonged survival revealed some suggestive imaging aspects. Key words: gastro-intestinal stromal tumors; computed tomography; diagnosis
