The paper argues two main points. First, there remain vast untapped potentials for implementing children’s rights within both present and coming generations, and second, that transdisciplinary theorising and local application can create and exploit such new opportunities. The paper begins with a theoretical analysis of the cross-cutting nature of the UNCRC, and its continued civilising impact as part of the globalised ‘rights revolutions’ reported by controversial Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker (2011: 378-481). I then move to a methodological reflection on how the treaty might be applied as a bricoleur in the lived experiences of children, families, caregivers and communities. The final section outlines a case study from the grape and wine industry located within the Niagara Region of Canada that applied these theoretical and methodological resources as a form of critical praxis in the lives of migrant agricultural workers temporarily employed there through the growing season year after year.

Skin is the largest layer of our body which protects and shows shades of color of humans or any other creature on the earth. The most harshly and frequently used skin over body part is the sole of the foot, and it is also the most ignored skin part. Ayurveda is ancient science explained decades and is says that good foot/sole care lead to healthy eyes. Massaging ghrita over the sole of the foot helps in an increase in eyesight. Acharya Shruta explained a disease padadari (crack heels) under kshudra roga which includes symptoms like fissure’s and pain over sole/ heels3. He also explained chikaitsa of Padadari in brief. As Padadari is a vatapradhan roga it is important to treat vata and it is a locally affecting disease so local application medicine seems to be more effective. The best treatment for vata is tailam so by reference of Vaidya Manorama I took Snuhi tailam for study5. As it has ingredients like snuhiksheera, sarshap taila, saindhav which combinedly act as lekhana, snehana, vedanashamna and ropana.

Safa (alopecia areata) means loss of hairs where ordinarily hair would be found. Safa (AA) is a type of non scaring alopecia that affects males and females equally and occurs in both children and adults. About 2% of the patients are affected and come to outpatient department for care. It is characterized by reversible hair loss most commonly involving the scalp although other parts of head, including eyelashes and beard may also be affected. A patient 16 years old was given Unani medicine for 45 days as local application on lateral aspects of eyebrows twice daily for thirty days and once for later 15 days. New hairs were seen on affected areas after one month, after 45 days normal hairs were seen on affected sites. It can be concluded that Unani medicine is effective in treating alopecia.
