This paper addresses the following fundamental problem: Suppose that in a group of $n$ people, where each person knows all other group members, a single person holds a piece of information that must be disseminated to everybody within the group. How should the people propagate the information so that after short time everyone is informed? The classical approach, known as the push model, requires that in each round, every informed person selects some other person in the group at random, whom it then informs. In a different model, known as the quasirandom push model, each person maintains a cyclic list, i.e., permutation, of all members in the group (for instance, a contact list of persons). Once a person is informed, it chooses a random member in its own list, and from that point onwards, it informs a new person per round, in the order dictated by the list. In this paper we show that with probability $1-o(1)$ the quasirandom protocol informs everybody in $(1 \pm o(1))\log_2 n+\ln n$ rounds; furthermore we also show that this bound is tight. This result, together with previous work on the randomized push model, demonstrates that irrespectively of the choice of lists, quasirandom broadcasting is as fast as broadcasting in the randomized push model, up to lower order terms. At the same time it reduces the number of random bits from $O(\log^2 n)$ to only $\lceil\log_2 n\rceil$ per person.

AbstractWe consider a Cauchy–Dirichlet problem for a quasilinear second order parabolic equation with lower order term driven by a singular coefficient. We establish an existence result to such a problem and we describe the time behavior of the solution in the case of the infinite–time horizon.

The Second Vatican Council and, in particular, its Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, changed much in the daily life of the Church. In Ireland, a country steeped in the Catholic tradition but largely peripheral to the theological debates that shaped Vatican II, the changes to liturgy and devotional practice were implemented dutifully over a relatively short time span and without significant upset. But did the hierarchical manner of their reception, like that of the Council itself, mean that Irish Catholics did not receive the changes in a way that deepened their spirituality? And was the popular religious memory of the people lost through a neglect of liturgical piety and its place in the interior life, alongside what the Council sought to achieve? In this essay, Dr Gary Carville will examine the background to the liturgical changes at Vatican II, the contribution to their formulation and implementation by leaders of the Church in Ireland, the experiences of Irish Catholic communities in the reception process, and the ongoing need for a liturgical formation that brings theology, memory, and practice into greater dialogue.

Abstract In this paper, we prove the existence and regularity of solutions of the homogeneous Dirichlet initial-boundary value problem for a class of degenerate elliptic equations with lower order terms. The results we obtained here, extend some existing ones of [2, 9, 11] in some sense.

Let [Formula: see text] be a self-contragredient automorphic cuspidal representation of [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text]. Using a refined version of the Selberg orthogonality, we recompute the [Formula: see text]-level correlation of high non-trivial zeros of the product [Formula: see text]. In the process, we are able to extract certain low-order terms which suggest the asymptotics of these statistics are not necessarily universal, but depend upon the conductors of the representations and hence the ramification properties of the local components coming from each [Formula: see text]. The computation of these lower-order terms is unconditional as long as all [Formula: see text].

This study presents a critical analysis on the charter of human rights of United Nations, as it was design to promote peace and justice in the world but unfortunately it was not come in true. So the concepts and impacts of human rights presented by UN will be examine in the light of Seerah, and to find out the reasons which caused its failure. It is historical observation that fundamental human rights are very essential for justice and peace in the world. All the peoples have equal rights in all respects. No one is allowed to disregard the rights of others on the basis of race, color and religion. Holy Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH) founded the state of Yathrab and first time in the history declared the fundamental rights of human and vanished the differences based on race, color and gender. Rights for slaves, war prisoners and women were not only defined but were implemented by legal procedure in very short time. In 1948 United Nation declared a charter for human rights which proclaimed that inherent dignity and equal rights are the foundation of freedom, justice and peace of the world. This charter consist on 30 articles regarding individual and common rights of human. This charter of UN guaranteed the security of all fundamental rights of all human being. Although there are number of articles which caused uneasiness among the people of different religions such as article No. 19. Freedom of opinion and express must be observed but it should must be keep in mind that some irresponsible elements of different societies are using this for their criminal purposes as cartoon contest on Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH) by Geert wilders of Holland in recent days caused huge disturbance for world peace. Whereas, the Prophet of Islām ordered the Muslim to respect the clergy of other religions even He (PBUH) halted the Muslims to abuse the idols.

Character education is an important element in the effort to prepare superior Indonesian human resources, it is of particular concern to be applied especially among students, there is a need for character education because the attitudes and behavior of the people and people of Indonesia now tend to ignore the noble values of Pancasila which are highly respected and should be rooted in everyday attitudes and behaviors, values such as honesty, politeness, togetherness and religious, gradually eroded by foreign cultures that tend to be hedonistic, materialistic, and individualistic, so that the noble character values are ignored in the future if students and young people are not equipped with character education. Law students have their own challenges, especially in the era of globalization. This paper analyzes and illustrates the character strengthening program for law student activists in Semarang State University through several programs, namely public speaking, strengthening student idealism, strengthening advocacy capacitation and human rights assistance and self-motivation. This research is a field research with the object of research as activists of law students who are members of student organizations. This research confirms that the programs for strengthening the character of students experience several obstacles, one of which is the model used and a relatively short time. However, character education for student activists helps students to survive in real life as part of community members.
