Software testing is an important activity in software development process. Testers have to generate test cases to test a system. At least, test cases consist of test input values and expected results. In functional testing or black-box testing, test designers can generate test cases from a requirements specification document which includes diagrams such as UML Diagrams. In this research, we consider UML use case diagrams and propose an approach for generating test cases from use cases based on a limited entries decision table. These test cases cover all success and alternative scenarios in a use case as well as all events that contain include and extend relationship.

<p>The primary purpose of the study was to develop a tool that will take advantage of the fact that many students of the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) bring their cellular phones or tablets everyday, and that they prefer the student handbook be installed on their gadgets rather than be made available as a hard copy. Thus, a digital student handbook software was created for Android devices. This was developed following a Rapid Action Development (RAD) method which is a proven and tested software development process model. The analysis phase of the chosen process model involved the identification of ways in which the contents of the student handbook are presented in a more readable way, which included convenient content-searching mechanisms compared to a portable document format (PDF) file. Designs were made to follow the results of the analysis. After developing the tool, a Black Box Testing was done, and an assessment was made for 404 respondents, and 97.71% of the respondents agreed that the tool helped provide guidance for the students’ formation and encouraged them to read, understand, and appreciate the contents of the handbook, as well as adapt to the culture of the university. </p><p> </p><p><strong> Keywords: </strong>Information Technology, digital student handbook, Rapid Action Development, Android, Davao City, Philippines</p><div> </div>

Bahasa Mandarin merupakan salah satu Bahasa yang terkenal di seluruh dunia. Ada sekitar 1.302 juta orang dengan berbagai kalangan umur telah menggunakan Bahasa mandarin, sehingga karena alasan tersebut banyak sekolah termasuk Sekolah Dasar (SD) Advent 1 Tikala Manado telah memasukkan Bahasa Mandarin sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran Bahasa asing. Namun siswa-siswa SD Advent 1 Tikala Manado merasa kesulitan dalam mempelajari Bahasa Mandarin dikarenakan tidak adanya media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mereka dalam mempelajari Bahasa Mandarin di luar jam sekolah. Aplikasi pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin Dasar merupakan solusi untuk membantu siswa SD Advent 1 Tikala Manado dalam mempelajari Bahasa Mandarin, baik dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah. Unified Software Development Process (USDP) merupakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang prosesnya dikendalikan oleh Use Case (use case driven) dan dikerjakan secara berulang (iterative) sehingga pada akhirnya menghasilkan perangkat lunak terintegrasi berukuran besar yang terbentuk secara bertahap (Incremental) dengan bantuan Unified Modeling Language (UML) sebagai alat bantu utama analisis dan perancangan sistem perangkat lunak. Aplikasi pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin Dasar dibuat dengan fitur belajar dan bermain. Fitur belajar dilengkapi dengan materi pengajaran yang digolongkan ke dalam  beberapa kategori yaitu kategori kelas 1, kelas 2, dan kelas 3 serta sub fitur berupa suara dengan tujuan siswa bisa mengetahui cara pengucapan suatu kata. Dengan dibuatnya aplikasi ini diharapkan agar aplikasi ini bisa membantu siswa dalam mempelajari Bahasa Mandarin pada jam sekolah maupun diluar jam sekolah.

Sistem Seleksi Rekrutmen Karyawan dan Guru pada Sekolah Citra Bangsa Tangerang masih bersifat semi manual yaitu pelamar datang langsung ke Sekolah Citra Bangsa Tangerang atau mengirim surat lamaran melalui pos sehingga terjadi penumpukan berkas-berkas data pelamar serta rentan terhadap rusak dan hilangnya data. Untuk itu diperlukan sistem aplikasi berbasis website. Aplikasi ini  menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Kemudian metode perancangan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML) diantaranya: Use Case diagram, Activity diagram, Sequence diagram, Class diagram. Sedangkan bahasa pemrogramannya adalah PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) dan Javascript. Untuk database menggunakan Mysql. Selanjutnya metode pengujian/testing menggunakan Black Box Testing. Diharapkan dengan aplikasi berbasis website ini dapat membantu memudahkan pekerjaan admin dan menghasilkan data yang akurat sehingga dapat  menunjang aktifitas Sekolah. Selain itu juga memudahkan masyarakat yang berminat melamar pekerjaan di Sekolah Citra Bangsa Tangerang.

The Source Code Bank Programming application that the researchers built uses Borland Delphi which functions to support software learning activities and as a reference for software developers, especially the Delphi programming language. In the process of developing Source Code Bank Programming is still in the prototype stage and further development is still being carried out so that it can be competitively competitive in the world. It is necessary to do various evaluations of the quality of the application in order to match the expectations of the user, one of which is to analyze the quality of the application using the Black-Box Testing method. Testing the Black-Box Source Code Bank Programming uses 3 methods, namely; 1) Graph-based testing, 2) Equivalence Partitioning, and 3) Boundary Value Analysis. The research results show that graph testing, equivalence partitioning, and boundary value analysis will be able to help the process of making test cases and make testing simpler, There are errors in testing and are included in the defect-list, the test results also show that the fulfillment of user needs for public users with a value 0.90, user registers/member with a value of 1.00, students with a value of 0.90, lecturers with a value of 0.82 and admin with a value of 0.84 are classified as good because the degree of value in each user module is greater than 0.8.

Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Lampung merupakan salah satu jenis Rumah sakit kepolisian umum di negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia yang beralamat Jalan Pramuka No. 88, Rajabasa, Kota Bandar Lampung. Apotek farmasi Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara bergerak di bidang farmasi dengan menjual berbagai jenis obat. Namun, selama ini masalah yang dihadapi pihak apotek proses pencatatan sisa obat dan stok tidak sesuai dengan kondisi persediaan dan masih sangat acak-acakan dalam persediaan obat serta lama pelayanan karena kekurangan sumber daya. Sebagai solusi maka dibangunnya sistem persediaan obat pada Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Lampung. Tujuan dari penelitian menghasilkan sistem informasi akuntansi persediaan obat untuk meningkatkan ketepatan dalam persediaan stok obat. Manfaat dibangunnya sistem ini, memudahkan dalam memberi kebijakan yang tepat dan perlu diambil dari pihak apotek secara sistematis dan menjadikan pencatatan stok secara akurat khusunya di bagian farmasi Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara. Dalam pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode prototype. Tahap perancangan menggunakan pemodelan UML yaitu: use case diagam, activity diagram, sequence diagram dan class diagram dan pembangunan sistem menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan MySQL sebagai database. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan model black box testing dengan aspek antarmuka fungsionality admin dan fungsionality apoteker. Maka diperoleh hasil analisis kualitas: aspek functionality admin diperoleh nilai 87% atau sangat layak; aspek functionality apoteker diperoleh nilai 90% atau sangat layak; Berdasarkan kelayakan seluruh aspek kualitas maka didapat nilai rata-rata 88% atau sangat layak. Sehingga sistem informasi layak untuk diterapkan dalam hal memanimalisir terjadinya stok obat yang expired date dan dapat membantu untuk mempermudah mengelola stok obat dan mengelola arus obat dengan akurat.

Testing of software remains a fundamentally significant way to check that software behaves as required. Component-based software testing (CBST) is a crucial activity of component-based software development (CBSD) and is based on two crucial proportions: components testing by developers with the source code (e.g., system testing, integration testing, unit testing, etc.) and components testing by end users without source code (black box testing). This work proposes a black box testing technique that calculates the total number of interactions made by component-based software. This technique is helpful to identify the number of test cases for those components where availability of source code is questionable. On the basis of interaction among components, the authors draw a component-link graph and a direct-indirect-link matrix, which helps to calculate the number of interactions in component-based software.

In this paper we present SyBeL (System Behaviour modelling Language), an XML based formalism for software system modelling. In particular, SyBeL focuses on the description of the system behaviour in order to capture its functional requirements and has been designed to fulfill some of the most trendy software engineering issues. The use of the underlying XML language makes the artifacts generated by SyBeL immediately available to further automatic manipulation (e. g., to automatically generate test cases) without the need of intermediate models, as usually done in semi-formal approaches. Moreover, we are experimenting SyBeL on a variety of practical case studies.

The development of database applications in most CASE tools has been insufficient because most of these tools do not provide the software necessary to validate these applications. Validation means ensuring whether a given application fulfils the user requirements. We suggest validation of database applications by using the functional testing technique, which is a fundamental black-box testing technique for checking the software without being concerned about its implementation and structure. Our main contribution to this work is in providing a MDA approach for deriving testing software from the OCL specification of the integrity constraints. This testing software is used to validate the database applications, which are used to enforce these constraints. The generated testing software includes three components: validation queries, test cases and initial data inserted before the testing process. Our approach is implemented as an add-in tool in Rational Rose called OCL2TestSW.

In this paper we present SMDP (Scenario Model Development Process), an XML-based methodology for the description and manipulation of scenarios that are used to formalize and reuse software requirements. SMDP is an iterative and incremental process that supports scenario evolution during the requirements engineering process. The formalization of scenarios through the underlying XML-based language of SMDP makes them immediately available to further automatic manipulation (e.g., to automatically generate test cases) without the need for intermediate models, as it is usually done in semi-formal approaches. Thanks to the implementation of a software assistant environment for SMDP, the methodology is currently being experimented on a variety of case studies, in particular web applications.
