This paper reflects on the use of the computer and softwares in educational research analysing the most used three types of using data processing: mathematical calculations of stadistic measures, computer as corrector of answers and application of tests through computer with specific software. The author questions the power of all of them, questioning even the use of computer in educational research.

This research is motivated by the low creativity of students in language studio extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Tanjung Emas. This condition is thought to be due to factors that influence the low creativity of students, one of the factors that is thought to greatly influence is the use of learning media that is less effective and efficient. This study aims to see the creativity of students through the use of Canva application learning media in language studio extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Tanjung Emas. This type of research is using a quantitative approach to the quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experiment). The population in this study were students in the language studio extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Tanjung Emas as many as 25 students, all of whom became the research sample. By using data analysis using the test formula paired sample t-test. From the data processing, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the creativity of students before being given an action (pretest) and after being given an action (posttest) using the Canva application learning media in the language studio extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Tanjung Emas. Suggestions and results of this research are for educators to be able to further increase the creativity of students in using the Canva application learning media and for school principals at SMPN 1 Tanjung Emas as leaders at the school so that they can further increase the availability of facilities and infrastructure, especially effective and efficient learning media. as well as to support the creativity of students

The grouping of Mazaya products at PT. Bougenville Anugrah can still do manuals in calculating purchases, sales and product inventories. Requires time and data. For this reason, a research is needed to optimize the inventory of Mazaya goods by computerization. The method used in this research is K-Means Clustering on sales data of Mazaya products. The data processed is the purchase, sales and remaining inventory of Mazaya products in March to July 2019 totaling 40 pieces. Data is grouped into 3 clusters, namely cluster 0 for non-selling criteria, cluster 1 for best-selling criteria and cluster 2 for very best-selling criteria. The test results obtained are cluster 0 with 13 data, cluster 1 with 25 data and cluster 2 with 2 data. So to optimize inventory is to multiply goods in cluster 2, so as to save costs for management of Mazayaproducts that are not available. K-Means clustering method can be used for data processing using data mining in grouping data according to criteria.

Abstract During a disaster, social media can be both a source of help and of danger: Social media has a potential to diffuse rumors, and officials involved in disaster mitigation must react quickly to the spread of rumor on social media. In this paper, we investigate how topic diversity (i.e., homogeneity of opinions in a topic) depends on the truthfulness of a topic (whether it is a rumor or a non-rumor) and how the topic diversity changes in time after a disaster. To do so, we develop a method for quantifying the topic diversity of the tweet data based on text content. The proposed method is based on clustering a tweet graph using Data polishing that automatically determines the number of subtopics. We perform a case study of tweets posted after the East Japan Great Earthquake on March 11, 2011. We find that rumor topics exhibit more homogeneity of opinions in a topic during diffusion than non-rumor topics. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of our method and demonstrate its improvement on the runtime for data processing over existing methods.
