ABSTRACT Objective: To describe and analyze the national and international scientific production on Nursing care for the transgender or gender-variance population. Method: Integrative review of the literature, conducted throughout the Virtual Health Library, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Public Medline and Web of Science databases, without pre-established periods of time and using the descriptors "Transgender AND ‘Nursing Assistance'" and "Transgender AND ‘Nursing care'". Results: We included 11 articles, published between 2005 and 2016, broadly North American with only one Brazilian, so categorized: I- Fragility in the care of transgender people; II - Health of the transgender population: general and specific demands; III- Public health policies for transgender people. Transgender people have not found yet answers to their health demands; they are victims of prejudices and violence in services and seek care in extreme cases of sickness. Final considerations: Understanding their needs is primordial to build knowledge and practices that support nursing care.

Cesarean delivery (CD) is the second most commonly performed surgery in the United States. As such, prevention of complications associated with this procedure is a top priority in nursing care. Nurses at the study insti- tution perceived that postcesarean patients experienced increased uri- nary retention after use of spinal morphine for postoperative pain relief. This observation prompted a review of the literature indicating that limited research had been conducted in this area. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of postelective CD urinary reten- tion and dose of spinal morphine. A retrospective, quasi-experimental, three-group design was used. Records of 150 patients, ages 17 to 39, undergoing elective primary or repeat CD were examined. Morphine doses included 100, 150, and 200 mcg. No statistically significant differ- ences were found between the three groups.

Scientific production on the exchange of mitral valve associated with rheumatic feverAbstract: A review of the literature, which aimed to raise the brazilian scientific production of the period 2010-2016, about patients submitted to mitral valve replacement associated with Rheumatic Fever and to identify the scientific nursing articles related to the care given to these patients. Aims: To identify the strategies for the prevention of burnout syndrome in nurses; and discuss the results for future interventions that can decrease burnout in these professionals. Design: An integrative review of the literature. Data Sources: PubMed, Lilacs, Medline, Scielo, and Science Direct, from April 2018 to July 2018. Methods: The sources were in all 553 references were found. The following guiding question was: Which interventions for the prevention of burnout in nurses have been applied and have obtained high effectiveness? Results: Based on the inclusion and exclusion factors, 30 studies were selected for analysis. The studies were categorized in individual, group and organizational, being the studies with actions in groups those of greater prevalence. Conclusion: The actions used to cope with burnout were, for the most part, effective, with some demonstrating greater success than others. From the 30 reviewed studies, the results did not obtain satisfactory improvement in burnout in only three interventions: 1) Systematic nursing supervision; 2) Basic nursing care; and 3) Psycho-oncological training program.
