The SMAC Opportunity Contracts

The concept of Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud (SMAC) is increasingly asserted as the phenomena with the potential to change technology and business relationships. In this SMAC era plenty of Middle Circle Contractors (MCCs) are being introduced as principal suppliers, integrators or outsourced contractors. This is reducing the Client Enterprise (CE) controls over their technology assets. Because it is not mature yet, SMAC nature is very disruptive and agile, thus rapidly changing the landscape of contracting, and ultimately turning the long-held promise of utility based computing into a reality. Such changes necessitate contracting transformation with innovated approaches to get targeted benefits, reduce risks and enhance operational controls. The main objective of this chapter is to provide guidelines to generate SMAC Opportunity Contracts (OCs) that are responsive and agile to provide the maximum business value, enhance risk governance and re-invent the roles and obligations in an ever-changing environment.

It is rapidly changing the landscape of technology, and ultimately turning the long-held promise of utility computing into a reality. Nevertheless, utilizing MCC is never a trivial task, thus calling for a special approach to get the benefits, reduce risks and control operations. The main objective of this chapter is to provide some specific guidelines to provide governance directions to align MCC into enterprise strategy and reduce risks resulted from utilizing middle circle providers; In this context, this chapter also promote and discuss some ethics that help client enterprises and MCC providers understand roles and obligations in an ever changing environment.

The key objectives of this paper is to propose a design implementation of blockchain based on smart contract which have potential to change international mobile roaming business model by eliminating third-party data clearing house (DCH). The analysis method used comparative analysis between current situation and target architecture of international mobile roaming business that commonly used by TOGAF Architecture Development Method. The purposed design of implementation has validated the business value by using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculation. This paper applies the TOGAF approach in order to address architecture gap to evaluate by the enhancement capability that required from these three fundamental aspect which are Business, Technology and Information. With the blockchain smart contract solution able to eliminate the intermediaries Data Clearing House system, which impacted to the business model of international mobile roaming with no more intermediaries fee for call data record (CDR) processing and open up for online billing and settlement among parties. In conclusion the business value of blockchain implementation in the international mobile roaming has been measured using TCO comparison between current situation and target architecture that impacted cost reduction of operational platform is 19%. With this information and understanding the blockchain technology has significant benefit in the international mobile roaming business.

The bibliography brings together more than 250 scientific papers and books written by Alwyne (Wyn) Wheeler over fifty years, from 1955–2006. This chronological list shows that from the beginning his research followed three themes: taxonomy of historically important fish collections; identification and distribution of the British and European fish fauna ; the status of British fishes in a changing environment. Until the mid-point in Wyn's career he published regularly on the identification of fish remains in archaeological sites in Britain and Europe. Wyn also wrote under an alias, Allan Cooper, and these have been listed separately. The bibliography concludes with a selection of the regular columns he contributed to angling magazines.
