Mobile Cloud Computing Integrating Cloud, Mobile Computing, and Networking Services Through Virtualization

Mobile computing is a critical technology area which is actively integrated with field of cloud computing. It is broadly an application of virtualization technology at both ends of client server architecture. The mobile and cloud computing is a natural combination as mobile devices have limited computing and storage capacity, thus to reap the benefits of high end computing, cloud is the answer. Thus, amalgamation of mobile platform with cloud platform is inevitable. This chapter shall deliberate on the various aspects of mobile computing, mobile cloud computing and its relationship with virtualization technology. The detailed integration aspects and virtualization shall be signified through case study and suitable real time examples. The chapter shall envisage a case study, modeling the virtualization in the context of mobile cloud.

Cloud computing is consistently proving to be the dominant architecture of the future, and mobile technology is the catalyst. By having the processing power and storage remotely accessible, the main focus of the terminal is now related to connectivity and user-interface. The success of cloud-based applications greatly depends on the throughput experienced by the end user, which is why transport protocols play a key role in mobile cloud computing. This chapter discusses the main issues encountered in cloud networks that affect connection-oriented transport protocols. These issues include, but are not limited to, large delay connections, bandwidth variations, power consumption, and high segment loss rates. To reduce these adverse effects, a set of proposed solutions are presented; furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Finally, suggestions are made for future mobile cloud computing transport-layer designs that address different aspects of the network, such as transparency, congestion-intensity estimation, and quality-of-service integration.

Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) which combines mobile computing and cloud computing, has become one of the industry ring words and a major conversation thread in the IT world with an explosive development of the mobile applications and emerging of cloud computing idea, the MCC has become a possible technology for the mobile service users. The concepts of Cloud computing are naturally meshed with mobile devices to allow on-the-go functionalities and benefits. The mobile cloud computing is emerging as one of the most important branches of cloud computing and it is expected to expand the mobile ecosystems. As more mobile devices enter the market and evolve, certainly security issues will grow as well. Also, enormous growth in the variety of devices connected to the Internet will further drive security needs. MCC provides a platform where mobile users make use of cloud services on mobile devices. The use of MCC minimizes the performance, compatibility, and lack of resources issues in mobile computing environment.

Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) is a recent technological development, which has emerged from two popular technology trends; mobile computing and cloud. In essence it revolutionises the capabilities of mobile devices by integrating both storage and processing of the cloud environment with mobile computing and in doing so providing greater optimisation and operating power, allowing for transparent and seamless use of resources provided by the cloud. However, expanding the capability of resource constrained mobile devices in this manner comes at a price. There are many risks associated with the security of data within the cloud environment and as MCC essentially uses the cloud, it also inherits any security issues that are associated with cloud computing. The aim of this survey is to identify potential data security issues, and analyse and present some pioneering security mechanisms and finally suggest some future directions for better data security with MCC.

Mobile cloud computing can improve user experiences by executing applications or resource providers and exchange data on mobile devices. Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a revolutionary application in the mobile computing world. This paper presents the concept of mobile computing besides recommending a new term called M-cloud that is yet to be further explored. The various modules of this paper consist of MCC applications, major concerns and security concerns with related preventive measures.


Mobile Cloud Computing is a combination of general Cloud Computing and Mobile Computing in which we have to access resources from the remote cloud data center with the help of mobile electronics and peripherals like mobile smartphones, laptops, gadgets, etc. via Cellular Technology or Wireless Communication. Mobile devices have lots of resource constraints like storage capacity, processing speed, and battery life. Hence through simple mobile computing software and programming, we cannot manipulate on mobile devices of cloud data center information. Because of such kinds of difficulty, we have to process information or data through external mobile devices. Accessing and processing of data with the help of Trusted Third Party Agency (TPA) outside the cloud data center and mobile devices have lots of security challenges. To make cloud data secure over outside resources, lots of terminologies and theory are put forward by various researchers. In this paper, we will analyze their theory and its limitations and offer our security algorithm proposal. In this thesis article, we analyze the security framework for storing data on Cloud Server by Mobile and limitation of this process. Also, we review the theory of how data can be secure our data on cloud administrators

Mobile cloud computing is a concept that has been gaining popularity, resulting from the synergistic integration of cloud computing and mobile computing with the goal of minimizing some of the limitations inherent in mobile computing (bandwidth, storage, autonomy, etc.) and giving greater plasticity to the services of the cloud computing providers. This new paradigm of computation has similar limitations to those associated with the paradigms that are at its origin. Therefore, it is essential that the research carried out in this area is concerned about understanding its impact on audit processes, which aim to verify and evaluate the mechanisms of the internal control system implemented to minimize threats to integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the information assets (data and/or information) stored on these platforms. Based on a literature review, this chapter aims to list a set of challenges associated with the adoption of mobile cloud computing within the scope of organizational auditing.
