José G. Vargas-Hernández

The objective of this chapter is to analyze the functioning of an integral model of entrepreneurship in green innovation business (GIB) that is currently emerging and in the process of internationalization. Therefore, this work aims to study the central perspectives of technology that are based on the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and thus develop a strategy that adapts to companies with an ecological basis to achieve internationalization. This chapter analyzes a particular company that specializes in ecological biomineral organic fertilizer, where no chemical product is used to produce the composition; everything that is marketed is made up of a base of organic minerals and other organic compounds.

This chapter aims to analyze the market of fertilizers in Mexico during the pandemic crisis. This analysis of the fertilizer market in Mexico points out that the consumption of fertilizers has undergone a change in the structure in favor of consumers with the highest concentration and diversification. The method used is the analytical-descriptive and the critical reflexive based on the quantitative data obtained from secondary sources. This analysis of the fertilizer market in Mexico points out that the consumption of fertilizers has undergone a change in the structure in favor of consumers with the highest concentration and diversification. The method used is the analytical-descriptive and the critical reflexive based on the quantitative data obtained from secondary sources. This situation has contributed to a drop in the consumption of fertilizers because the farmer's real income has fallen during the pandemic crisis. To take advantage of the opportunities arising from the crisis, it analyzes the functioning of an integral model of entrepreneurship in green innovation business (GIB) that is currently emerging and in the process of internationalization.

Tofu Waste Treatment and Its Potential. Tofu is a food product most consumed by Indonesians. Tofu production in Indonesia still uses conventional methods with the resulting waste which has not been used optimally. Tofu waste contains organic compounds with low pH and is a contributor to pollutants in the aquatic environment if it was not processed first before being discharged into the environment. Tofu waste treatment can be carried out by several methods, such as the addition of effective bacteria of microorganisms, plasma ozonation, biogas, and food production. The potential of tofu waste processing into a more useful product has not been widely recognized by the public. Therefore, it requires an alternative method of tofu waste treatment that is more effective and efficient so that it is easily applied to society. Some tofu waste treatment plants have the potential to become liquid organic fertilizer, reduce pollutant levels thus it is safer when released into the environment further used to produce biogas as an alternative fuel. In addition, it can be used for other food products such as Nata de soya, Tempe gembus (a traditional fermented food), and chips.

Organic minerals, organic acids and NH-containing organic molecules represent important target molecules for astrobiology. Here, we present the results of the evaluation of a portable hand-held Raman spectrometer to detect these organic compounds outdoors under field conditions. These measurements were carried out during the February–March 2009 winter period in Austrian Alpine sites at temperatures ranging between −5 and −25 ° C. The compounds investigated were detected under field conditions and their main Raman spectral features were observed unambiguously at their correct reference wavenumber positions. The results obtained demonstrate that a miniaturized Raman spectrometer equipped with 785 nm excitation could be applied with advantage as a key instrument for investigating the presence of organic minerals, organic acids and nitrogen-containing organic compounds outdoors under terrestrial low-temperature conditions. Within the payload designed by ESA and NASA for several missions focusing on Mars, Titan, Europa and other extraterrestrial bodies, Raman spectroscopy can be proposed as an important non-destructive analytical tool for the in situ identification of organic compounds relevant to life detection on planetary and moon surfaces or near subsurfaces.

AbstractDifferent current ideas on the origin of life are critically examined. Comparison of the now fashionable FeS/H2S pyrite-based autotrophic theory of the origin of life with the heterotrophic viewpoint suggest that the later is still the most fertile explanation for the emergence of life. However, the theory of chemical evolution and heterotrophic origins of life requires major updating, which should include the abandonment of the idea that the appearance of life was a slow process involving billions of years. Stability of organic compounds and the genetics of bacteria suggest that the origin and early diversification of life took place in a time period of the order of 10 million years. Current evidence suggest that the abiotic synthesis of organic compounds may be a widespread phenomenon in the Galaxy and may have a deterministic nature. However, the history of the biosphere does not exhibits any obvious trend towards greater complexity or «higher» forms of life. Therefore, the role of contingency in biological evolution should not be understimated in the discussions of the possibilities of life in the Universe.
