The Korean High Speed Train (KHST) has been tested on the Kyongbu high speed line and the Honam conventional line since 2002. A data acquisition system was developed to test and prove the dynamic performance of the KHST, and the system has been found to be very efficient in acquiring multi-channel data from accelerometers located all over the train. Also presented in this paper is an analysis procedure which is simple and efficient in analyzing the acceleration data acquired during the on-line test of the KHST. The understanding of system vibration mode for a railway vehicle is essential to evaluate the characteristics of a dynamic system and to diagnose the dynamic problems of the vehicle system during tests and operations. Methods based on homogeneous linear systems are not realistic because real systems have nonlinear characteristics and are strongly dependent on environmental conditions. In this paper an efficient method of vibration analysis has been proposed and applied for the KHST to evaluate its vibration mode characteristics. The results show that this method is suitable to estimate the system vibration modes of the KHST.

To solve the problem of testing BMBS (BLOW-OUT MONITORING AND BRAKE SYSTEM) vacuum booster performance, a double-station and on-line test system for BMBS vacuum booster was designed. It adopts high-speed data collection method and computer control technology. This system can test the performance in non-BMBS condition and BMBS condition. The test items mainly include dynamic characteristic and sealing performance under each condition. The double stations are independent and have no interference with each other. The system fills up the blank of performance testing about BMBS vacuum booster. To verify this system, experiments were conducted with the vacuum booster which installed the BMBS technology. The experiment results show that the system can do well in testing the performance of BMBS vacuum booster in high precision. The sealing performance resolution is 0.01kPa and the pressure resolution is 1N.

The interaction of track structure and high-speed train has greater impact on safe and steady running of the trains. This paper obtained acceleration and frequency spectrum of the train's running vibration in the case of sleeper’s spacing and continuous failure, and continuous and spacing loose tie by establishing the vertical model of vehicle-track coupling system, and analyzed the sleeper failure and loose tie which has a greater impact on the 40-80 Hz vibration frequency of the train, which provided a basis for track maintenance.
