Bonding rate of ring and piston's ontology (BRRPO) is used to describe the bonding quality of inserted ring and piston's ontology. According to the basic principle of ultrasonic flaw detection, shape of inserted ring and nature of material, penetration method is utilized to detect the bonding quality. An ultrasonic measurement system is designed. The design consists of hardware and software. Controlling process of hardware has been designed legally and made the detection precise. The design of software, based on VC++, consists of accomplishment of basic functions, such as data collection and data processed, and some special functions, such as automatic detection.

The Optical Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope were used to analyze the causes of Nonconformity in ultrasonic flaw detection for three steel plates. The metallographic and energy spectrum analysis show that the main reasons were inclusions, porosity and cracks respectively, which were caused by the slag inclusion, center porosity and center segregation of the billets. Improving the quality of the steel water and optimizing continuous casting process could reduce the defects, and increase the percent qualified in ultrasonic flaw detection.

The aim of this work was to study more thoroughly all problems relating to the evaluation of material defects connected with plate quality before and after explosive cladding. During testing great attention was paid to material defects in plates, the reasons for their appearance and possibility of detecting them by means of ultrasonic technique. It was most important to find out which defects were especially dangerous. The results of ultrasonic testing that relate to the quality of initial steel plates are described. Modelled defects of various sizes are ultrasonically tested and analysed. The properties of explosive welded joints and cases of cracks in clad plates are tested. All these data can be helpful in the context of working out criteria relating to the selection of initial plates for cladding.

Abstract: this paper describes the main characteristics of bottom blowing argon, and by comparing forging adopting the mode of bottom blowing argon process of forging with not using the technology of forging the same time and the same kind of shape of ingot production the same in the forging crack, the results of the ultrasonic flaw detection, grain size, mechanical properties, gas content in liquid steel, the influence of the mold bottom blowing argon through the comparative analysis on the influence of the inclusions, the method of die bottom blowing argon can improve the quality of steel, It is worth promoting. And the principium of die bottom blowing argon is discussed.
