In order to realize the correspondence of feature points in the binocular dynamic vision measurement system, the two homologous images matching problem in the paper is studied. First of all, a method of strong space resection. The strong space resection optimizes the elements of exterior orientation, improves the precision, so as to improve the calculating precision of epipolar line. Secondly, an algorithm of multiple restriction matching which is for two homologous images matching of feature points has been introduced. This algorithm based on epipolar line constrain, increases the uniqueness constraint and double constraint, combined with the second match with disparity gradient constrain, finally get the correct matching relationship of feature points in two homologous images. The experimental results show that: this method for matching of binocular dynamic vision measurement system, can get 100% of the matching accuracy rate. And it would satisfy the need of binocular dynamic vision measurement system.

A new method for solving the stereo matching problem in the presence of large occlusion is presented. This method for stereo matching and occlusion detection is based on searching disparity point. In this paper, we suppose that a pair of epipolar-line images is a projection of a group of piece-wise straight lines on the left and right images respective. Therefore the disparity curve corresponding to a pair of epipolar-line images may be approximated by a group of piece-wise straight lines. Then the key of solving disparity curve is how to get the “characteristic points” on the group of piece-wise straight lines. Based on this view, we fetched out the conception “disparity point”, and three kinds of special disparity points are correctly corresponding to the “characteristic point”. By analyzing intensity property of a disparity point and its neighbor points, an approach which combines stepwise hypothesis-verification strategy with three constraint conditions is devised to extract the candidate disparity points from the epipolar images.

A new method for calibrating stereo vision measurement system is presented. By moving a rigid optical reference bar in a pattern in and around the measurement volume, the relative orientation and position of the two cameras can be determined by using the epipolar constraint, the linear normalization eight-point algorithm and the M-estimator method. The scale factor of the translation between the two cameras can be calculated by the distances between the marks on the reference bar. With automatically controlled infrared LED marks, the imaging feature points have a uniform intensity profile and a high contrast with background. The calibration accuracy can be improved. The simulation and experiments have shown that the calibration accuracy can be comparable with the complex off-line calibration.

The characteristic points matching is the hot point in the aerial images processing. The matching algorithm of characteristic points based on epipolar line was put forward according to the characteristics of aerial images. This algorithm overcomes some problems in the process of image sampling, solves the matching problem of untextured regions better, and deletes the dissimilarity points, shortens the calculation time greatly as well.

Feature points can be used to match images. Candidate feature points are extracted through SIFT firstly. Then feature points are selected from candidate points through singular value decomposing. Distance between feature points sets is computed According to theory of invariability of feature points set, images are matched if the distance is less than a threshold. Experiment showed that this algorithm is available.

The clinical therapeutics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) constitutes a complicated process which involves theory, diagnosis, and formula prescription with specific herbal dosage. Zhang Zhong-Jing’s classic work, Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases, has been influencing TCM practice for almost 2000 years. However, during this extended period of time in Chinese history, the Chinese weight measurement system experienced noticeable changes. This change in the weight measurement system inevitably, and perhaps even negatively, affected TCM herbal dosage determination and treatment outcome. Thus, in modern society, a full understanding of the accuracy of herbal dose selection has a critical importance in the TCM daily practice of delivering the best treatment to the patients suffering from different illnesses. In the 973 Project of the Chinese National Basic Research Program, expert consensus on classic TCM formula dose conversion has been reached based on extensive literature review and discussion on the dose–effect relationship of classic TCM formulas. One “liang” (两) in classic TCM formulas is equivalent to 13.8[Formula: see text]g. However, based on many TCM basic and clinical studies of variable herbal formula prescriptions and herbal drug preparations, the rule of one liang equals 13.8[Formula: see text]g should be adjusted according to different disease conditions. Recommended by the committee on TCM formula dose–effect relationship of the China Association of Chinese Medicine and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, the following expert consensus has been reached: (i) One liang converts to 6–9[Formula: see text]g for the severely and critically ill patients. (ii) One liang converts to 3–6[Formula: see text]g for the patients suffering from chronic diseases. (iii) One liang converts to 1–3[Formula: see text]g in preventive medicine. The above conversions should be used as a future TCM practice guideline. Using this recommended guideline should enhance the effectiveness of daily TCM practice.

For the pose measurement of cannon barrel, a vision method through checked plane had been proposed. To test and improve the precision of this new method without considering the hardware error and some other inextricable objective factors, derive the imaging model of the marker (checked plane) from motion model of cannon barrel and the position relative to it using variable-controlling method. Establish the computer simulation platform of vision measurement system for cannon barrel pose based on C++ Builder. The simulation experiment validate the veracity and dependability of this method.

As the rapid progress and development of DSP technology, a new way to solve the video signal processing was accepted. At present, binocular measurement instrument are mostly based on image capture card and PC on the market, expensive and bulky. For this problem, binocular vision measurement system based on DSP has been used. The design of elementary program structure about video processing which based on DSP/BIOS was finished and verified for its real-time. The results of the experiment show that the driver can be well used in the system.
