To improve the efficiency of automated testing, reduce testing spending, This article brings out a new automation testing frameworkWTAF, and automated regression testing is the focus of the study. First of all, we choose the open source automation framework STAF for regression testing , And then utilize STAF services to link all testing process implemented during the regression testing. Using automation testing technology, WTAF can successfully solve the low efficiency problem existed in manual or semi-automation testing.

<span>Software testing is considered to be one of the most important processes in software development for it verifies if the system meets the user requirements and specification. Manual testing and automated testing are two ways of conducting software testing. Automated testing gives software testers the ease to automate the process of software testing thus considered more effective when time, cost and usability are concerned. There are a wide variety of automated testing tools available, either open source or commercial. This paper provides a comparative review of features of open source and commercial testing tools that may help users to select the appropriate software testing tool based on their requirements.</span>

The paper describes our methodology for optimizing regression testing that forms a major part of software maintenance. It necessitates the use of an automated testing tool, and we have selected Selenium, an open source tool. For simple projects, a formula is proposed that has been derived through data mining with Selenium. A genetic algorithm is added to this methodology for industry based projects, where the test cases are so large that they have to be grouped as Test Suites; this algorithm reconfigures Test suites in each cycle of regression testing. Commonly used APFD metric ignores fault severity but is included in our formula; this severity is determined by professional testers. The use of ANN to amend severity without manual intervention enhances the genetic algorithm. Tables presented in the paper are from both simple and industry projects. Comparison is made with IBM’S RFT, a proprietary tool for automated testing.

With all kinds of structured data and unstructured data between intranet and external information network interacted frequently, a kind of safety device has been produced that achieved effective control of information network data access to ensure normal operation of the isolation system and related business and make the data of intranet safe and reliable. In order to ensure that every release version could run stability, automation testing solution based on keyword driven has been designed to realize the separation of test data, test scripts and test logic. The main design were keyword structure and hierarchical key separation. Regression testing has consisted of test Cases configured flexibility and selectively to realize reasonable arrangement of testers and improve test efficiency.

The environments where the build to focus the warehouse to maintain all the business aspects are satisfied and the quality are obtained on the functionalities are acting up to the users mark. The objective of this paper is to evaluate and initiate a mechanism to evaluate automation tools effectively, at the moment. There are various systems built and even if they are platform independent and also if existing with additional features they are having many demerits that don't satisfy the end user. An important contribution of this paper is the development of the metric suite that facilitates assessment and selection of a desired testing tool for automated testing and in relation to the environment for the software is developed. At the software industry it is a high value for project management team selecting the tools that may satisfy the requirement satisfactions highlighted by the end user to be satisfied to maintain the business mix.

For the purpose of settling problems in the present automated testing frameworks, the paper presents an automated testing framework based on keyword driven technology. At first, it summarized and analyzed the recent automated testing frameworks; and then it proposed the framework’s system architecture, and also presented the key technology details of the framework. At last, this paper compared this paper’s framework with the recent frameworks by the IP phone, which proved that this framework had superiority in reducing the scale of test scripts, raising the overall efficiency of testing and so on.
