A country's level of Nc machine tool and ownership, is to measure the level of manufacturing and industrial modernization level of important indicators, is also an important index to measure national comprehensive competitiveness. Therefore, how to better use and maintenance of Nc machine tool is an important issue. This paper introduced how to reasonable use of Nc machine tools, as well as the use of the numerical control system and inspection.

The numerical control machine tool, which is a typical energy-using product, because there are all sorts of energy loss and auxiliary functions, has low efficiency in machining process. Author makes a study of NC machine tool energy consumption controlling. With simens840Dsl numerical control system as an example, based on the analysis of CNC system control principle, according to processing characteristic of the part, the macro program is wrote to optimize dynamic characteristics of NC machine tool. According to the machine idle time in different work condition, three energy-saving control profiles are formulated, including machine standby, NC standby, auto shut off. By the formulation of the corresponding PLC control logic, low energy consumption of intelligent control of NC machine tool is realized. Integrate PAC3200/4200 multi-function meter in NC machine tools, quantitative measurement and analysis of energy consumption for numerical control system and ancillary equipment can be implemented, and machine tool real-time energy data can be obtained. This scheme has been successfully applied in long-men portable CNC machine tools, and obtained the ideal effect: to realize the optimize control of energy consumption, improve the performance of the machine tool, become more market competitiveness.

According to the communication principle of 840D numerical control (NC) system and internal data structure, the PLC program is developed to make 840D system state data transmit to the PC with the MPI channels; production status data real-time monitoring system based on 840D NC machine tools is developed, meanwhile, the monitoring and data management for NC machine tool production process status is realized.

Chinese spinning technology has developed for more than 40 years. Especially in recent years, various kinds of spinning equipment have been developed and contributed a lot to Chinese equipment manufacturing industry, but it is blank in the light industry and civil industry. Due to the high cost and programming complexity of NC machine tools, we have no dedicated spinning machine and mostly rely on simple manual in the lampcover production. As to the above problems, we developed the lampcover NC spinning machines that can generate the track automatically and complete automatic control in the machining process.

Abstract To improve the accuracy of numerical control machine tools error, this paper studies the application of laser testing technology in numerical control machine tool, and put forward a laser interferometer automatic aiming system which can conduct space error measurement. The system, in the process of the NC machine tool operating, can measure the machine tool space curve through changing the direction of the laser. The principle of laser interferometer and matlab analysis are adopted, through the experiment of laser interference technology in the numerical control machine tool, the law curve of error in NC machine tools is obtained, getting the method of error of NC machine tools. When conducting laser testing error experiment in NC machine tool, the results show that the laser testing can measure aggregated error and thermal error of NC machine tool better, with small control of environment and high accuracy of measurement.

In this paper, a series of numerical control machine tool truncated failure data collect.The data are assumed to be two parameter weibull distribution and related parameters is obtained and relevant inspection and test of hypothesis, it is concluded that the mathematical model of batch of nc machine tool failure interval time distribution.Relevant indicators to determine the reliability of nc machine tools, machine tool's observations, Machine tool observations, point estimation and interval estimation index value provide a theoretical basis for the research on reliability of machine tool.

MTConnect is a technical standard recently proposed to facilitate the organized retrieval of process information mainly from numerically controlled machine tools. In this paper, core components such as agent, client, adapter etc are overviewed. Considering the difference in manufacturing devices openness and capabilities, different application schemes of agent and adapter are designed according to MTConnect protocol. Agent is designed for data acquisition in different situations and different ways to use Adapters are mainly discussed. Finally, the client, a software function in the application is developed by using C#. And the application is applied to a NC machine tool. In terms of data request, collecting, transmission and detection from a working NC machine tool, the proposed architecture in this paper is verified successfully.

This paper first introduces the trajectory mode of the each error source in detection the roundness error of NC machine tool. The error separation algorithm is derived according to the relationship between the various error sources and the machine tool motion trajectory. Based on the two testing link under different condition, comparing the test results under two testing conditions, the main error source of NC machine tools is further analyzed. According to the merits and demerits of the two kinds of detection methods, the different round error detection method can be chosen under different occasions.

Weibull distribution is one of the most widely used model in reliability analysis of NC machine tools. In order to assess the reliability of NC machine tool, Generalized Expectation Maximization (GEM) algorithm is used to estimate parameters of mixture Weibull models. Akaike information criterion (AIC) and Bayesian information criterion (BIC) are used as comprehensive criteria to select the number of subpopulations of mixture models. The results show that mixture models are more suitable to assess reliability of NC machine tools than that of single model. Root mean square errors (RMSE) of mixture models reduce by 87.5% than that of single model. Reliability evaluation results of machine tool, such as MTBF etc., are given.

A reliability modeling method is proposed based on the time between failures of NC machine tools. According to the field data of the time between failures of a certain type of NC machine tools, parameter estimation of reliability model is made by use of particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based correlation coefficient optimization method, and it is proved that time between failure of CNC machine tool obeyed mathematical model of 3-parameter Weibull distribution via hypothesis testing. This provides the basis for reliability assessment of NC machine tool as well as the development of maintenance strategy in the future. Meanwhile, it also provides a theoretical reference for the reliability prediction of the whole NC machine tool.
