Immobilized lipase Novozym-435 catalyzed regioselective synthesis of glucose and undecylenic acid(UA) to produce glucose mono-ester in Organic solvents was investigated. Reactionconditions were tested in order to produce the mono-ester more rapidly and in higher yield, the optimal conditions were obtained as: temperature at 50°C,mole ratio of glucose toUA of 1:2,concentration of molecular sieves and enzyme used as 0.56mg/mL and 10mg/mL respectively . After the reaction, product was purified, and characterized by MS and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and determined as 6-O-(10-undercylenoyl)-D-glucose, The product was used as the starting material, K2S2O8 as a chemical initiator, to polymerize and form the sugar-containing polymer, which could be used for medicine release agent and other application of biological materials.

A new N, N'-imidazolium salt 1-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-3- (4,6-dimorpholino -1,3,5-traizine-2-yl)-1H-imidazol-3-ium chloride) as a precursor of N - heterocyclic carbene ligand was prepared via the reaction of 1 - (2, 6 - diisopropyl phenyl - 1H - imidazole) with 1, 3, 5 - triazine derivative bearing morpholine substituent (2, 6 -dimorpholine - 6- chloro-1, 3, 5-triaziazine). Linear coordi-nated Ag (І) NHC complex was synthesised via deprotonation of the imidazolium salt and reac-tion with Ag2O in darkness at room temperature by in situ method. The complex was synthesised for using as transfer agent to prepare another transition metals complexes by transmetallation method in the future. The imidazolium salt and their silver complex have been characterized by 1 H and 13C NMR spectroscopy as well as mass spectrometry.

A Pd(II) complex with methyl 2-((1-(2,4-dioxochroman-3-ylidene)ethyl)amino)acetate was synthesized. The structures of both the ligand and Pd(II) complex were determined by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy. Recrystallization of Pd(II) complex from DMF/water solution resulted in its hydrolysis and formation of dimethylamine-(2-((1-(2,4-dioxochroman-3-ylidene)ethyl)amino)acetato)palladium(II) complex, the structure of which was determined by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, as well as X-ray analysis.

Anew bidentate ligand butyl-(1-methyl-3-phenyl-propyl)-dithiocarbamate (bm?pdtc) was prepared, as the sodium salt. In the reaction of hexaaminecobalt(III) chloride with Nabm?pdtc, the corresponding tris[butyl-(1-methyl-3-phenyl-propyl)-dithiocarbamato]cobalt(III) [Co(bm?pdtc)3]?complex was prepared. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, electronic absorption, 1H and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.

This paper examines the synthesis of two new complexes of platinum(II/IV) ion, general formula [PtL2]Cl2 and [PtL2]Cl4, where L is 2-amino-5-methyl-4-phenylthiazole. The structures of the above mentioned compounds were determined by elemental microanalysis, infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.

Pyrrolidine-1-carbothiohydrazide was prepared by the transamination reaction of 4-methyl-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide with pyrrolidine in MeCN. 2-pyridineformamide 3-pyrrolidinyl-thiosemicarbazone (HAmPyrr) was synthesized by the reduction of cyanopyridine in the presence of pyrrolidine-1-carbothiohydrazide in MeOH with Na metal. The synthesized compound was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopy and ESI mass spectrometry. The prominent (M+1) peak (m/z) of HAmPyrr in the electron spray ionization mass spectrum was found at 250.09 which correspond to the molecular ion plus H. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/jncs.v29i0.9234Journal of Nepal Chemical SocietyVol. 29, 2012Page: 28-33Uploaded date : 12/3/2013

Complexes of Zn(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) with 2?-[1-(2-pyridinyl)ethylidene ]oxamohydrazide (Hapsox) were synthesized and their structures were determined. All the complexes are of a neutral type with two apsox ligands coordinated to Zn(II) and one apsox ligand coordinated to Pd(II) or Pt(II). In each case, the polydentate was coordinated via pyridine and hydrazone nitrogens and ?-oxyazine oxygen, forming an octahedral geometry around Zn(II), and a square planar one around Pd(II) and Pt(II). The structure determination was performed by IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy, and for the Zn(II) complex by X-ray structure analysis.
