Quantity determination of the Aircraft spares is affected by many factors, the indeterminate effect is not quantitative factors on the quantity of spare parts, analytic hierarchy process is applied to the quantity calculation of the aircraft spares. General principles of administrative levels to analyze law dealing with the aircraft spares calculation of multi factor problem is introduced, 5 influence factors is economy, importance, difficulty degree, affected, string etc. The use of analytic hierarchy process used in random spare parts calculation is illustrated.

Selection of the appropriate composition desalination units can be done with a variety of method approaches, one of the method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In determining the desalination unit with AHP method to consider is setting a goal, an alternative criteria and pairwise comparison. Research for the determination of the exact composition of the desalination unit in order to achieve sustainable drinking water suppy in coastal areas and small islands has been conducted. The results of the study are as follows, the energy demand of 50.83%, operator costs of 26.64%, maintenance costs of 14.13% and chemical requirement 8.4%. For an alternative composition desalination unit of RO 10 m3 / day is the best alternative composition with value of 59.61%, the composition of the next alternative is RO 20 m3/ day of 30.40% and the last alternative of the desalination unit composition is RO 120 m3/ day of 09.99%.Key words : Desalination, Mukti Stage Flash Composition, AHP

It is not easy to evaluate the reputation of generating companies as the influence factors are multiple, complex, and partly subjective. A fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method (AHP) with a set of power industry relevant criteria is applied in this paper. The fuzzy triangular number is introduced to characterize the subjective judgment of experts, and AHP is used to deal with the multiple evaluation factors, and to calculate the relevant weights with the aid of the arithmetic laws of fuzzy triangular number. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of this model.

36 years ago, Thomas Saaty introduced a new mathematical methodology, called Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), regarding the decision-making processes. The methodology was widely applied by Saaty and by other authors in the different human activity areas, like planning, business, education, healthcare, etc. but, in general, in the area of management. In this paper, we provide two new proofs for well-known statement that the maximal eigenvalue λmax is equal to n for the eigenvector problem Aw=λw, where A is, so-called, the consistent matrix of pairwise comparisons of type n×n (n≥ 2) with the solution vector w that represents the probability components of disjoint events. Moreover, we suggest an algorithm for the determination of the eigenvalue problem solution Aw=nw as well as the corresponding flowchart. The algorithm for arbitrary consistent matrix A can be simply programmed and used.

The outstanding pace of technological development around the world coupled with increasing population and rapid urbanization have brought along an ever-increasing demand for healthcare services. This trend results in an increasing amount and variety of medical wastes. Accordingly, the issue of effective collection, transportation and disposal of medical wastes, specifically in large cities, has become a critical concern from the viewpoint of urban logistics and holds great importance in terms of safety. This study aims to determine the safety of hospitals in their medical waste management function. The study involves the determination of medical waste management steps, establishment of a hierarchical structure, and weighting of the criteria within the established hierarchical structure by means of the analytic hierarchy process method. Afterwards, the extent to which these criteria are adopted in hospitals was evaluated by the medical waste management officers of those hospitals, and safety scores were obtained for each hospital by associating the results with the weighted values obtained by the analytic hierarchy process method. The model proposed for medical waste management problems encountered by healthcare institutions in Istanbul was implemented for a specific region of Istanbul province, and the obtained results were analyzed. Evaluation of the opinions of the healthcare officials for determination of the medical waste management safety scores showed that the “collection” criterion has significantly higher importance than the “temporary storage” and “transportation” criteria. “The effect on hospital personnel” sub-criterion of the “collection” criterion had the highest score. This revealed the importance of the collection process that takes place between storage and transportation, for evaluating the human waste-based risks.

Mine environmental geological assessment usually uses the expert subjective assignment to determine the weights of affecting factors, but the mine environmental geological problems are the result of many factors. Each factor is complex on the suitability of the influence factors, and the factors interrelate and restrict each other, so the human factor is of great impact. Take the geological quality evaluation of the mine environment of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia mining area as an example, this article discusses in detail the process of determining the weights of evaluation factors by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which increases the scientific nature of the assignment and reduces the subjectivity, which achieves satisfactory results.

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has advantages that the whole number of comparisons can be reduced via a hierarchy structure and the consistency of responses verified via a consistency ratio. However, at the same time, the AHP has disadvantages that values vary according to the form of hierarchy structure and it is difficult to maintain consistency itself among responses. If the number of comparisons can be reduced, a comparison within a single level is optimal, and if comparison can be made while the priority among entities is maintained, consistency may be automatically maintained. Thus, in this study, we propose a method of assigning weights, which applies hierarchy structure of AHP and pairwise comparison but complements the disadvantages of AHP. This method has advantages that the number of comparisons can be reduced and also consistency is automatically maintained via determination of priorities first on multiple entities and subsequent comparisons between entities with adjoined priorities.
