Agarwood is a highly valuable fragrant wood of Aquilaria spp. (Thymelaeaceae) which has been widely utilized in traditional medicine, religious rites, and cultural activities. This study summarizes a review on the identification of Aquilaria cultivars, volatile and non-volatile phytochemicals, pharmacological uses, and agarwood grading system to determine its quality, and different agarwood induction methods. Due to the highly demanding and depleted natural resources, the research on agarwood is still insufficient, and it has broad research and development prospects in many industries. However, due to the significant scientific nature of agarwood application, developing high-quality products and drugs from agarwood have become highly important, while no one has discussed in detail the phytochemicals uses and provided a summary until now. The main phytochemicals of agarwood include terpenoids, dominated by sesquiterpenes. For centuries, terpenoids have been used in traditional Chinese medicine and have been shown to possess various pharmacological properties, including bacteriostatic, antibacterial, sedation, analgesia, anti-inflammation, anti-asthmatic, hypoglycemic, antidepressant, and many others. Alongside biological activity screening, phytochemical advances and pharmacological research have also made certain progress. Therefore, this review discusses the research progress of agarwood in recent years and provides a reference basis for further study of Aquilaria plants and agarwood.

In order to explore the relationship between sports and health and improve the scientific nature of sports, this paper uses cluster analysis algorithm as the basis, adopts the entropy estimation method for small sample sets to estimate the information entropy value, and improves the mutual information estimation to propose a mutual information estimation method based on entropy estimation. Moreover, this paper uses a clustering algorithm to combine sports and health intelligent diagnosis requirements to construct a system structure. The system recommends better sports suggestions to the user according to the user’s physical condition, makes sports plans according to the user’s health, and can also analyze the user’s sports process. In addition, on the basis of demand analysis, this paper designs experiments to test the performance of the system constructed in this paper. From the experimental statistical results, it can be seen that the system constructed in this paper can basically meet the actual needs of sports and health intelligent diagnosis. At the same time, this paper proves that there is a strong correlation between sports and health.

This article is a part of a study on the integral linguistic image of God in the Ukrainian translation of the Psalter translated by Ivan Ohienko. The important role of Ohienko’s texts comes from the scientific nature of the translation and the influences in the formation of literary language. The author of the study is interested in the ways and means by which the concept of the RIGHTEOUS – one of the most frequent elements God functions with in text collections – is verbally expressed. Therefore, in this study, attention is focused on an attempt to ethnolinguistically analyse (based on the conception of profiling by J. Bartmiński) of the Ukrainian lingual implementation of such biblical concepts as ‘righteous person’, ‘the main signs of a righteous person associated with God’, and ‘the actions of a righteous person towards a) God, b) sinners’. As a result, it will be possible to trace the richness and diversity of the language image ‘righteous’ created by Ivan Ohienko, by bringing readers closer to the understanding of the ways of linguistic filling of in Old Testament texts with Ukrainian language means.

The study of the mind and how we behave regarding certain things is tied to psychology. Psychology in itself is merely a field of study that studies the scientific nature of the mental states and processes of the mind. American Psychological Association defines psychology as the study of the mind and behavior. The question of how our minds affect our physical processes is a topic of great concern in psychology. Asserts that psychology is considered mainly a "hub science," having hefty connections to social sciences, medical science, and education. The interactions involve the mutuality between our internal and external states, and what extends from it plays an essential role in shaping the manifestations of our life's endeavors. The outfits of psychology determine how we handle tools, people, processes, etc., even in our places of work; the way we address our fellow workers, devices, and tools has almost everything to do with our psychological makeup.

Abstract In order to comprehensively test the low temperature cold start performance of hydraulic oil and ensure their use effectiveness to the fullest, the idea of low temperature cold start performance index is proposed, so as to comprehensively evaluate the low temperature capability. Firstly, the cold start performance index system of hydraulic oil tested in low temperature environment is constructed, so as to describe its low temperature capability from multiple angles and in a comprehensive manner; secondly, for different index types, the corresponding data collection methods and data analysis methods are clarified, and the low temperature cold start performance of hydraulic fluid is evaluated. Finally, using the method as an example for three oils, the index types and assessment results are given to further illustrate the scientific nature of the research method. The research content can provide some technical support for the evaluation of the low temperature cold starting performance test of hydraulic winches.

Lev Gumilev, the son of the famous Russian poets Nikolai Gumilev and Anna Akhmatova, according to all the canons of history, had to remain in the shadow of his great parents. However, Lev Gumilev went down in history as a very outstanding personality, the author of the original idea of the birth and development of ethnicities, which was called the “passion” theory of ethnogenesis. This theory causes great controversy about its scientific nature to this day. Lev Gumilev developed his theory within the framework of the concept of Eurasianism. Among the wide variety of Eurasian peoples, Gumilev saw a common ethnic origin, common stereotypes of behavior that could lead to the geopolitical unity of the territory inhabited by them. At the end of the last century, primordialism in ethnology was rejected by the majority of the scientific community, and Gumilev’s ideas were criticized. However, last years the Eurasianist ideas of Lev Gumilev are experiencing a new wave of importance in connection with the strategic path of development that the Russian Federation has chosen for itself, which is progressively building the United Eurasian Community.

Rice false smut (RFS), caused by Ustilaginoidea virens, is a significant grain disease in rice that can lead to reduced yield and quality. In order to obtain spatiotemporal change information, multitemporal hyperspectral UAV data were used in this study to determine the sensitive wavebands for RFS identification, 665–685 and 705–880 nm. Then, two methods were used for the extraction of rice false smut-infected areas, one based on spectral similarity analysis and one based on spectral and temporal characteristics. The final overall accuracy of the two methods was 74.23 and 85.19%, respectively, showing that the second method had better prediction accuracy. In addition, the classification results of the two methods show that the areas of rice false smut infection had an expanding trend over time, which is consistent with the natural development law of rice false smut, and also shows the scientific nature of the two methods.

Since the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing has been known to everyone and recommended almost everywhere everyday. Social distancing has been and will be one of the most effective measures and sometimes, the only available one for fighting epidemics and saving lives. However, it has not been so clear how social distancing should be practiced or managed, especially when it comes to regulating everyone’s otherwise normal social activities. The debate on how to implement social distancing often leads to a heated political argument, while research on the subject is lacking. This paper is to provide a theoretical basis for the understanding of the scientific nature of social distancing by considering it as a social dilemma game played by every individual against his/her population. From this perspective, every individual needs to make a decision on how to engage in social distancing, or risk being trapped into a dilemma either exposing to deadly diseases or getting no access to necessary social activities. As the players of the game, the individual’s decisions depend on the population’s actions and vice versa, and an optimal strategy can be found when the game reaches an equilibrium. The paper shows how an optimal strategy can be determined for a population with either closely related or completely separated social activities and with either single or multiple social groups, and how the collective behaviors of social distancing can be simulated by following every individual’s actions as the distancing game progresses. The simulation results for populations of varying sizes and complexities are presented, which not only justify the choices of the strategies based on the theoretical analysis, but also demonstrate the convergence of the individual actions to an optimal distancing strategy in silico and possibly in natura as well, if every individual makes rational distancing decisions.

Emergence of new independent units of forensic science is a logical result of the development of scientific knowledge and forensic expert activity, if such a process takes place on the basis of the developed methodological foundations of forensic science, which ensures the scientific nature of new types of forensic science, organizational and legal procedure for their conduct and the admissibility of their results to ensure justice. Ignoring scientific approaches in  implementation of forensic activities in Ukraine and attempts to adapt it to the needs of investigative and judicial practice cannot but cause concern, especially when it comes to an attempt to substitute forensic science for the proof process. Article purpose is to conduct a methodological analysis of the topic, objects and tasks of forensic military science and its place in the modern general classification system of forensic science on the basis of the general theory of forensic expertology. Research methodology was made up of the provisions of materialist dialectics as a universal method of cognition, as well as a set of methods of formal logic for solving individual research tasks: analysis, synthesis, analogy, comparison, comparison, deduction. While research, in order to establish formation consistency  of military science as an independent stratification unit, its structural components were analyzed: topic, objects, tasks and specific expertise necessary for their solution. While conducted methodological analysis, it was found that formation of military science as an independent stratification unit of forensic examinations occurred in violation of the methodological foundations developed by forensic science and the evolutionary paths of the genesis of new species of forensic science. As a result of performed research, it was concluded that it is necessary to revise the place and essence of military science in the existing classification system offorensic science in Ukraine which will ensure the unity of the methodological approach to formation of new units of forensic science and guarantee declared principles of forensic science.
