The SWH system, which refers to solar water heating system, is getting popular in recent years. Despite the wide range of application, the incorporate design of SWH system with high-rise residential building stays problematic due to the lack of comprehensive design and calculation system, there is much to be improved in terms of programming, system and parameter selection, calculation system and the management of the SWH system. This paper mainly discusses the principle of design and calculation of SWH system, a real high-rise residential building project in the city of Guilin is set as an example .With the help of it, the design of SWH system in the stage of blueprint, the selection of hot water system and climate data, the calculation method of SWH system, and the importance and necessity of using monthly-based data to design the SWH system will be elaborated in detail. This paper also expects to be helpful to the construction of other SWH projects in China.

This paper presents a studyon the integrated design of solar hot-water systems in high-rise residential buildings for the hot-summer and warm-winterclimate. The design process was described in detail through a case study in which the study target is a high-rise apartment being built in a southern city (Guilin) of China. This paper also describes how to select an appropriate solar hot-water system andauxiliary heating system based on the analysis of the local climate. Suggestions for the integrated design in high-rise residentialbuildings were discussed from analysis results.

In the energy efficiency evaluation of renewable energy, in order to confirm the application of solar hot water system of building practical application effect, on-site testing is needed for solar water heating system. During the short term test, in order to improve the testing progress and to reduce the input, the relevant standard proposes the "solar radiation interception method". This paper mainly contrasts and analyzes the results deviation of "solar radiation interception method" in the actual test application. It also improveds the testing methods and testing precision.

Green residential building is energy conservation, environmental protection, healthy and comfortable and stress efficiency. Green building respects the local natural and humanities, climate. Adjust measures to local conditions, use local materials, so there is no definite construction patterns and rules. In this paper a green residential buildings from Shenyang, focus on the analysis of the well insulated building envelope, radiant floor heating system with control system, solar hot water system in the building. At the same time, analysis of the energy saving technology can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions compare with "Residential building energy saving design standards "at Liaoning area. The project gives some experience to other designers in the process of green buildings design and promotes it constructed in the northeastern regions.

A novel solar water heating system was patented in 1994. This system uses photovoltaic cells to generate electrical energy that is subsequently dissipated in multiple electric resistive heating elements. A microprocessor controller continually selects the appropriate heating elements such that the resistive load causes the photovoltaic array to operate at or near maximum power. Unlike other residential photovoltaic systems, the photovoltaic solar water heating system does not require an inverter to convert the direct current supplied by the photovoltaic array to an alternating current or a battery system for storage. It uses the direct current supplied by the photovoltaic array and the inherent storage capabilities of a residential water heater. A photovoltaic solar hot water system eliminates the components most often associated with the failures of solar thermal hot water systems. Although currently more expensive than a solar thermal hot water system, the continued decline of photovoltaic cell prices is likely to make this system competitive with solar thermal hot water systems within the next decade. This paper describes the system, discusses the advantages and disadvantages relative to solar thermal water heating systems, reviews the various control strategies which have been considered, and presents experimental results for two full-scale prototype systems.

Solar energy is a new manner of clean energy with potential for development in the 21st century. In light of the design of TLD (Tuned Liquid Dampers), the technology of solar heated water system is innovatively put forward to supply hot water for residents. Particular attention is given to analyze the limitations of TLD system. Taking a high-rise building of Baotou as an example, the amount of solar radiation is calculated and data collected are presented in Baotou. There is a focus on counting the load of solar heated water through the life water demand, which determines the area of collector. Finally, the feasibility of solar water heating system is showed in the results by the utilization of TLD system, which provides a certain reference action for future research work of TLD system.
