This paper presents a studyon the integrated design of solar hot-water systems in high-rise residential buildings for the hot-summer and warm-winterclimate. The design process was described in detail through a case study in which the study target is a high-rise apartment being built in a southern city (Guilin) of China. This paper also describes how to select an appropriate solar hot-water system andauxiliary heating system based on the analysis of the local climate. Suggestions for the integrated design in high-rise residentialbuildings were discussed from analysis results.
