Photovoltaic (PV) system is one kind of important renewable energy source, the model of the PV is the most important component that affects the accuracy of simulation and control. An engineering method of modeling and simulation of photovoltaic is presented in this paper, the model need only some parameters that provide by the PV manufacture, it has a better commonality and it is simple and practicable.

Due to global environmental deterioration, photovoltaic (PV) system (i.e., solar panels) is becoming more common as a renewable energy source. So the rational use of renewable energy put forward higher requirements. This article will explain how to combine Buck converter and MPPT technology to optimize the process of solar panels while charging the battery. The article will analyze the working states of Buck converter. The combination of the application of MPPT technology and Buck converter will be clarified.

This paper describes the design of an LED lamp to be used in a DC house being supplied using a renewable energy source or in a DC Smart Grid. LED lamps are widely known for its low-electricity consumption. The DC house application is becoming more and more popular due to its advantage of using DC generated electricity, for example from a solar photovoltaic system, directly without having to invert it into AC voltage. However, LED needs a driver to activate and control it. Its mounting also needs certain precaution to anticipate the high heat from the LED. An appropriate heatsink is required before activating the LED. The laboratory results indicate that a 3-watt LED bulb lamp can produce an efficiency up to 93.16% with luminous efficacy 82.29 lm/W. These results prove that an LED bulb consumes less energy and can give an optimal brightness.

Biomass is organic material, the second most important source of energy. Biomass is a renewable energy source. Wood biomass is used as source of energy for heating in many regions in Slovakia. It is because of its availability. Wood biomass is an easily accessible and affordable source of energy. At present, thermochemical processes, biochemical processes and physical-chemical processes are used for biomass utilization. In the article a suitable technology for combustion of wood chips is proposed. It consists of five main technological parts: transport of wood chips, silo, combustion boiler, and stack.
