This article is intended to identify interface symbols of sand groups by combining logging data with seismic data, and set correlation symbols of 8 sand groups in strata Nen 3 (H1) and Nen 4 (H2) of Nenjiang group. Characteristics of interior gyrations of those sand groups are analyzed according to core and logging data. Besides, sand group features of a single well are expected to be studied in this article. Upon the data and analysis, foundation information is provided for the research on sand distribution characteristics of Heidimiao oil layer and controlling factors of oil and water distribution.

The gas-water relations of low-permeability tight sand gas reservoir are complex and not necessarily linked to the structural relief, phenomenon that water is distributed in high structural position while gas in low structural position is common what makes it difficult to make a refined description of gas-water relations and distribution low. The article takes Zizhou gas field for example, establishes 4 gas-water relations modes of single well to analyze some profiles where there is abnormal phenomenon water up gas down, the fact is that water and gas are distributed in different sand bodies and Zizhou Gas Field is not a deep basin gas reservoir. The research shows the phenomenon that water up gas down does not exist, the gas-water relations are normal. The research results have certain significance for the determination of gas-water distribution law.

Based on the structural interpretation of seismic data, we analyzed the gas controlling effects of folds and faults on CBM accumulation qualitatively. Meanwhile, we discussed the lateral sealing ability of the major overthrust faults quantificationally by bringing in “Shale Gouge Ratio (SGR)”, which is proved to be applicable in analyzing the gas controlling effects of faults. The results of the theoretical analysis show that overthrust faults have better sealing effects than normal faults, and synclines are more conducive to CBM accumulation than anticlines. The SGR computed results show a high consistency with the distribution characteristics of the CBM gas content. In all, the folds have little controlling on CBM accumulation, and the faults play a major role in the gas controlling on CBM accumulation in the Weibei CBM field.
