This article takes one of the mine in Caidian as an example, it analyzes the mine’s environmental geological problems and hazards, brings out the measures of recovery and management with the development and utilization, summarizes the environmental benefits of the management project. The project is a demonstration of the mine geological environment management in Wuhan. What’s more, it gives reference to similar mines’ geological environment protection and recovery management.

The aim of the article was to indicate determinants of the development of eco-innovations implemented in agribusiness companies and chief barriers that trigger reluctance towards investments of ecological nature. Research was conducted in rural areas of Pomorskie Province in the second quarter of 2019 among owners, managers and others who operate in the field of environment protection. The research showed that, besides environmental benefits, the decisive factor for the implementation of eco-innovations are the economical and social benefits. The surveyed companies mostly invested in RES, waste segregation and modernization of existing technological lines. Also, certain barriers were indicated which agribusiness companies still encounter. The most important of those include outmoded infrastructure, financial limitations, high cost of eco-innovations and operating in the conditions of market instability.

Basic environment construction is a livelihood project, especially water environment management is a hot topic in current engineering construction. There are more or fewer risks in the water environment treatment construction process, especially the black and smelly water treatment during the flood season. Hidden dangers, especially this year is the resumption of work and production after the epidemic, which coincides with the flood season. This article takes the EPC project of comprehensive water environment management in the east of a city as an example, and combines the WBS-RBS method and AHP analysis to analyze the risks of the water environment management project during the flood period. Analysis enables the project risk to be predicted in advance, and the risk is quantified, so that the risk coefficient is minimized and the project construction can proceed smoothly.

Over the past decade environment protection policies have placed increasing emphasis on waste minimisation and cleaner production techniques. The Environment Protection Authority in Victoria, Australia, has sought to encourage waste minimisation by establishing a Clean Technology Incentive Scheme. This Scheme makes available secured interest-free loans of up to $100,000 to selected small and medium-sized companies proposing to install proven yet innovative waste reducing technology. Applications are evaluated by a Review Committee drawn from a diversity of backgrounds. The technical feasibility, innovativeness, environmental benefits and financial soundness of proposals are assessed and a short-list of potential loan recipients prepared. The managerial competence and financial status of short-listed applicants is checked before loans are made. The Scheme was established in 1988 and since then 35 offers of loans have been made. Whilst the newness of the Scheme makes evaluation of its long-term effectiveness premature, results to date are encouraging. Case studies of three especially successful projects are presented.

The development and utilization of groundwater in Cangzhou area has led to a series of environmental and geological problems such as groundwater-level declines and land subsidence. In order to alleviate the impact of groundwater abstraction on geological environment, a calibrated, transient groundwater numerical model of the Cangzhou area was developed using Processing Modflow. Then four kinds of groundwater exploitation schemes were designed and the groundwater flow fields for different schemes in the next 50 years were simulated and predicted. By comparing and analyzing the variation of the water levels in the mining layers and the variation of groundwater storage, the optimal groundwater extraction scheme was determined.
