This paper presents an overview of the correlation of helicopter rotor performance and loads data from various tests and analyses. Information is included from U.S. Army‐sponsored tests conducted by Bell Helicopter Company for free‐flight full‐scale tests in the NASA‐Ames 40 × 80 wind tunnel, one‐fifth scale tests in the NASA‐Langley Transonic Dynamics Tunnel, and small‐scale tests of a rotor in air. These test data are compared with each other, where appropriate, and with calculated results. Typical examples illustrate the state of the art for correlation and indicate anomalies encountered. It is concluded that a procedure using theoretical analyses to aid in interpretation and evaluation of test results is essential to developing a science of correlation.

Aeronautics now covers a large field. The bibliography alone, compiled and published annually by the United States National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, requires something like two hundred pages of a book seven inches by ten inches. Needless to say, I am not undertaking to review the whole field.Owing to the difficulties of conducting free flight tests of performance and the fact that we cannot afford to make many mistakes in an appliance whose operation involves the risk of human life, it is peculiarly desirable that we may be able to predict the performance of the completed airplane from small-scale experiments; and probably in no other branch of mechanical science have we at present so many research laboratories.

Abstract At present, the wind tunnel test results will have certain deviation and distortion when the wind tunnel test is conducted on certain mountainous terrain with complex local terrain and large variation of wind field characteristics due to the accuracy range of the measuring instruments used in wind tunnel test. In order to correct and obtain correct wind tunnel test results, the wind tunnel tests and numerical simulations were conducted on a super-large bridge in the mountainous area of Southwest China, and the wind parameters of the wind field at the bridge site were obtained. The CFD results were compared with the wind tunnel test results to confirm the credibility of the CFD results; a method was proposed to correct the deviated wind tunnel test data based on the CFD simulation results; the deviated wind tunnel test data were corrected and predicted with the above method, and a more satisfactory correction result was obtained.

<p>The purpose of this study is to find and analyze the effect of feedback on <br />learning outcomes in mathematics and an interest in basic statistics course. The <br />population in this study are affordable Information Technology Student cademic Year 2012/2013 Semester II Indraprasta PGRI University of South Jakarta. Sample The study sample was obtained through random sampling. This study used an experimental method to the analysis using the MANOVA test. This study has three variables, consisting of: one independent variable, namely the provision of feedback (immediate and delayed), and two dependent variable is the result of interest in the study of mathematics and basic statistics course. The data was collected for the test results to learn mathematics, and a questionnaire for the interest in basic statistics course. Collected data were analyzed using the MANOVA test. Before the data were analyzed, first performed descriptive statistical analysis and test data analysis requirements (test data normality and homogeneity of covariance matrices). The results show that the learning outcomes of interest in mathematics and basic statistics course for students who are given immediate feedback higher than students given feedback delayed. <br /><br /></p>

Data post-processing plays important roles in a wind tunnel test, especially in supporting the validation of the test results and further data analysis related to the design activities of the test objects. One effective solution to carry out the data post-processing in an automated productive manner, and thus eliminate the cumbersome conventional manual way, is building a software which is able to execute calculations and have abilities in presenting and analyzing the data in accordance with the post-processing requirement. Through several prototype development cycles, this work attempts to engineer and realize such software to enhance the overall wind tunnel test activities. The background and theory of the offgas analysis procedure used in oxygen transfer testing of diffused aeration tanks is reviewed. Correlation of this method with other applicable procedures in parallel tests is reported. State-of-the-art equipment and accessories are described. Advantages of the procedure are identified, as are precautionary considerations regarding its use. Applications considered appropriate for its employment are delineated. Experience and test results in both Sweden and the U.S.A. on a variety of aeration devices are disclosed.
