AbstractIn this paper, we explore a generalization of the notion of integrality. In particular, we study a near-integrality condition that is intermediate between the concepts of integral and almost integral. This property (referred to as the Ω-almost integral property) is a representative independent specialization of the standard notion of almost integrality. Some of the properties of this generalization are explored in this paper, and these properties are compared with the notion of pseudo-integrality introduced by Anderson, Houston, and Zafrullah. Additionally, it is shown that the Ω-almost integral property serves to characterize the survival/lying over pairs of Dobbs and Coykendall.

The standard notion of Lie derivative is extended in order to include Lie derivatives of spinors, soldering forms, spinor connections and spacetime connections. These extensions are all linked together, and provide a natural framework for discussing infinitesimal deformations of Einstein-Cartan-Dirac fields in the tetrad-affine setting.

In this paper, we address a problem that arises in several engineering applications: the deformation of a curve with constraints on its length. Since length is an integral property, typically computed by numerical methods, therefore implementing such shape change operations is non trivial. Recently some researchers have attempted to solve such problems for multi-resolution representations of curves. However, we take a differential geometric approach. The modification problem is formulated as constrained optimization problem, which is subsequently converted to an unconstrained min-max problem using Lagrangian multipliers. This problem is solved using the Uzawa method. The approach is implemented in MATLAB™, and some examples are presented in the paper.

Functional encryption (FE) is a vast new paradigm for encryption scheme which allows tremendous flexibility in accessing encrypted data. In a FE scheme, a user can learn specific function of encrypted messages by restricted functional key and reveals nothing else about the messages. Besides the standard notion of data privacy in FE, it should protect the privacy of the function itself which is also crucial for practical applications. In this paper, we construct a secret key FE scheme for the inner product functionality using asymmetric bilinear pairing groups of prime order. Compared with the existing similar schemes, our construction reduces both necessary storage and computational complexity by a factor of 2 or more. It achieves simulation-based security, security strength which is higher than that of indistinguishability-based security, against adversaries who get hold of an unbounded number of ciphertext queries and adaptive secret key queries under the External Decisional Linear (XDLIN) assumption in the standard model. In addition, we implement the secret key inner product scheme and compare the performance with the similar schemes.

Particle size seems to be the most important parameter, to describe the dewatering behaviour and result of sludges. But there are many other parameters, which can influence the dewatering result. The dewatering result of a sludge depends on the type of sludge, the mechanical and biological process. Out of the numerous parameters to characterize wastewater sludges five were selected, which describe the properties of the particulate matter. These parameters are the suspended solids (SS), the volatile suspended solids (VSS), the density of the particles (ρ), the fraction of small particles (fines) and a new parameter, called φ-value, which is the ratio of the mass of waste activated sludge to the total mass of sludge. The tested sludges were analysed for the Zeta Potential, but there could not be found a correlation between this parameter and the dewatering result. Combining the parameters in a model led to an overall sludge parameter, the so-called “Integral Property Parameter, fE”. A correlation between the fE-values and the dewatering results of municipal sludges (n = 49) can be found. A proposal was made to transfer the experimental results to a full scale dewatering process with high performance centrifuges.

We generalise the standard notion of transversality to maps between manifolds modelled on locally convex spaces and prove that all standard transversal theorems remain valid for this generalised notion. As first applications, we use our generalised Transversal Density Theorem to prove several simple “generic” results for local smooth maps which parallel the usual ones.

In this paper, we analyze the dissipativity for descriptor systems with impulsive behavior based on image space analysis. First, a new image space is used to characterize state responses for descriptor systems. Based on such characterization and an integral property of delta function, a new necessary and sufficient condition for the dissipativity of descriptor systems is derived using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Also, some of the earlier related results on dissipativity for linear systems are investigated in the framework proposed in this paper. Finally, two examples are given to show the validity of the derived results.

Relationships between the coefficients of series expansions in the composition variables for isothermal partial molar properties of all components, and for the corresponding integral property in a ternary system, have been developed. These relationships allow the calculation of the isothermal partial properties of mixing of all components, from experimental values of this property for one component, or from experimental measurements of the corresponding integral property of mixing. The form of the series expansions is such as to permit the easy fitting of the experimental data by standard least-squares techniques. Experimental data in a binary sub-system or experimentally determined phase boundary positions may easily be used to give end-points for the calculation. The method is faster and more accurate than the older graphical integration techniques. The simplicity of the method depends upon the proper choice of composition variables. Sample calculations have been done for the Cd–Bi–Sn system, using computer programs designed for the purpose.

The article distinguishes between financial insolvency and bankruptcy, which is recognized by the economic court as the debtor’sinability to satisfy monetary claims of creditors differently than through the application of the liquidation procedure. The legislation ofUkraine on criminal liability for bankruptcy provides for a fine of two thousand to three thousand non-taxable minimum incomes ofcitizens with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.Bringing an enterprise to bankruptcy, in particular state or state-owned, is very common in Ukraine and outwardly manifests itselfmainly as covert forms of privatization. Such actions against state-owned enterprises result not only in dubious privatization agreements, but also in the destruction of integral property complexes of strategically important objects for the state, a sharp rise in unemployment, and so on.The activity of agricultural enterprises plays an extremely important role in the development of the market economy of Ukraine,as it is caused by attracting a significant amount of investment in the economy of our country and improving the economic situation inUkraine. The share of agriculture in Ukraine’s GDP in 2019 was 8.9%, or almost 360 billion hryvnias. At the same time, for the bankruptcy of an agricultural or state-owned enterprise, the guilty person may be punished by a finewith restriction of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities. The imposition of a penalty in the form of a finewith restriction of certain rights for the commission of this crime is not sufficient to achieve the purposes of punishment and entails aninjustice in the application of criminal law, which cannot be considered acceptable. Conclusions have been drawn on the need tostrengthen criminal liability for bankruptcy of an agricultural, state-owned enterprise and enterprise, in the authorized capital of whichthe share of state ownership exceeds 50 percent.
