In china, many mines lie around cities, lakes or scenic spots, which have important effects on regional landscape. Recently, most research of mine’s ecological restoration focuses on geological hazards prevention, soil improvement, vegetation restoration, heavy metal pollution etc. With the increasement of environment protection consciousness, restoration and construction of mine eco-environment has been an important part of eco-environment management. Therefore, it is significant to research mine’s ecological restoration from the aspect of landscape. This paper will take Daye Iron mine ecological restoration as an example to discuss landscape design in mine’s ecological environment restoration from the aspects of mine landscape elements, methods of landscape restoration, in order to provide scientific suggestion for mining ecological restoration.

Underdeveloped rural areas have good but very vulnerable ecological environment, so the environment protection should be given priority in new rural construction. Based on the problems that rural areas have faced in ecological environment, some thoughts are given in this paper on ecological and environmental: ①To solve the conflicts between the development of rural economy and ecological environment protection, the development of eco-industry can be a key solution. ② For the point that people of underdeveloped areas live in scattered and small scale groups, which leads to difficulty in facility arrangements, some proposals are put forward on the construction of living environment in underdeveloped new rural areas.

At present, in-situ stress was not considered in Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) of slopes, the influence of in-situ stress is very small on the stability of conventional slopes, but in deep-depressed open-pit mines, the influence should not be neglected. Formula for calculating the Factor of Safety (FOS) under the effect of horizontal in-situ stress was deduced using General Slice Method (GSM) of two-dimensional (2D) limit equilibrium method in this paper,a corresponding program SSLOPE was built, and the software was used in a deep- depressed open-pit iron mine. The results show that the FOS of the slope decreased by 20% when horizontal in-situ stress is considered, some reinforcements must be taken. Therefore, the influence of in-situ stress on slope stability should be taken into account in deep open –pit mines.

The rural ecological environment protection, economic sustainable development and eco-village construction need to be explored. Based on the concept of eco-village and eco-village model, the existing eco-village construction models in Shaanxi Province can be classified into four categories: comprehensive development model, modern ecological technology applied model, suburban farmhouse model and folk culture model. The issue during those models development been analyzed. Suggestions of promoting ecological village construction in Shaanxi Province been proposed.
