The process of caudal regeneration in lizards does not always occur perfectly, which can cause some abnormalities, such as the appearance of warped or supernumerary tails. Here we report the first cases of tail bifurcation in the Dwarf Gecko, Lygodactylus klugei, and observations about the caudal adhesive pads in individuals with bifurcated tails. Our observations represent a new case of caudal bifurcation for lizard species that have tails with functional specializations and elaborate morphological structures and are the first records of this type of anomaly for the genus Lygodactylus.

We report the first record of the invasive Brown Anole, Anolis sagrei Duméril & Bibron, 1837, in South America based on nine specimens from Samborondón, Guayas province, Ecuador. We also present some information related to the current distribution in Ecuador, and its possible impacts on native lizard species.

We present the first record of Ecpleopus gaudichaudi and Psychosaura agmosticha for the state of Bahia, in the Atlantic Forest, Brazil. Ecpleopus gaudichaudi was found in the southernmost portion of the state, in the Restinga de Nova Viçosa, municipality of Nova Viçosa, whereas Psychosaura agmosticha was found in the northernmost portion of the state in the Restinga de Costa Azul, municipality of Jandaíra. This is the first time these lizard species were recorded in restinga habitats, and the first record of P. agmosticha in the Atlantic Forest domains.

We present data on pulmonary infection rates by parasites in the lizards Tropidurus hispidus Spix, 1825 and T. semitaeniatus (Spix, 1825) living sympatrically in the Chapada do Araripe mountain Range, northeastern Brazil. We found no parasite pulmonary infection in T. semitaeniatus. However, two pulmonary parasite species were found in the T. hispidus hosts, the pentastomid Raillietiella mottae Almeida, Freire and Lopes, 2008 and the nematode Rhabdias sp. Overall prevalence was 5%. Prevalence of R. mottae was 2.5% and corresponded to only one parasite on each infected host. Prevalence of Rhabdias sp. was 2.5% and the range of infection was 1-2 parasites per host. This represents the first record of Rhabdias infecting lizards of the family Tropiduridae in the Neotropical region. Furthermore, we present a comparison of parameters of infection by pulmonary parasites including some recent studies in Brazil.

Necrophilia is a reproductive behavior were a live animal attempts to mate with a dead conspecific. This behaviour has been reported in several lizard species. Here, we report the first case of necrophilia of an adult male Sceloporus zosteromus with a dead conspecific female in northwestern Baja California, Mexico.

A Helorid wasp, Helorus ruficornis Förster, 1856, is reported for the first time on Tahiti (Society Islands), which is also the first record of both Proctotrupoidea and family Heloridae in French Polynesia. The potential hosts of Helorus ruficornis in French Polynesia are discussed.

Extensive survey of mantids in the northeastern Uttar Pradesh was conducted. Two mantid species were recorded for the first time from the target area, viz.: Pyrgomantis pallida, 1917 and Bactromantis mexicana.
