The purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness of constructivist learning approach in structural study specifically for architecture students. Theoretically, improving student’s performance in mathematics is challenging for today education. In architectural education, structural study is part of the non- design courses in the syllabus under the area of technology and environment and it involve in mathematical calculations. In the context of typical classrooms that adopt conventional teaching method, students are usually taught using structured rules based on the given academic syllabus. However, teaching architecture students need a different approach. This is because architecture students learn by understanding the application into practice rather than by only solving the principleproblem. Purposive sampling which is the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) was selected as the method of the study and teaching experiment was conducted. In the experimental structural design, 26 groups of architecture students were tested based on two situations; pre-test (original) and post-test (change), and tests are conducted according to the stages and times set for each topic. The experiment was designed based on the Constructivist learning approach as foundation of the experiment to study the mathematical creativity of the students. The findings show that there are positive impacts on creativity in the subject of structural study which beneficially affects their understanding and application abilities. Further research needs to done to ensure this beneficial outcome can be greatly support students’ long-term retention of knowledge and skills. Keywords: Constructivist learning approach, Creativity in mathematical thinking, and Experimental study for architecture students

ABSTRACT: International Accounting is one of the subjects in the field of Accounting which is not enough to only be studied conceptually, as well as accounting in general. International accounting requires understanding so that later it can be applied in cases related to international trade transactions. This is because in International Accounting, students must know how accounting standards applied to each country can then be harmonized through the convergence method. In addition, students must also understand the accounting for hedging transactions, the application of transfer pricing and translation. The purpose of this study was to describe the Model Group Investigation (GI) in an effort to improve accounting learning competencies of the students of the University of Bunda Mulia Academic Year 2018/2019. The aim to be achieved in this study is to develop a model of accounting learning package as a strategy that can improve the quality of accounting learning and improve student competency in accordance with the vision and mission of the study program. Data collection methods used in this study are observation methods (through experiments), tests and documentation (questionnaire collection). In the results of this study, there was an increase in student achievement in the accounting learning process with the Group investigation learning model and this positive influence was also strengthened through the choice of the learning approach method of the students. From the tests conducted, results have been obtained in the form of significant student achievement improvement

Keyword : student competence, group investigation model, learning approach

This research is the context of increasing student achievement special subjects of Natural Sciences of Energy and its amendment through Mastery Learning approach. Subject and source of research data as many as 25 students. Data collection method used observation, documentation, and testing. Analysis of data using critical and comparative analysis. Results of research and discussion are (1) the data obtained from precycle until the second cycle, obtained progress of student achievement in the learning of Natural Sciences at the material Energy and its amendment is average of 72.1 and the first cycle by an average of 76.5 and the second cycle by an average of 84.2. From this, it seems clear that an increase in the average value of precycle to the first cycle of 4.4 figure (6.1%), from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase of 7.7 figure (10%), from precycle to the second cycle there is an increase of 12.1 figure (16.8%). The highest value precycle stage at 82 and 86 as well as the first cycle of the second cycle of 92. It is clear that from the stage of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 4 digits (5.4%), from the first cycle to the second cycle an increase of 6 figures ( 15.4%), and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 10 points (21.6%). The lowest value obtained precycle stage at 66 and 70 as well as the first cycle of the second cycle of 76. thus, can be affirmed that the step of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 4 digits (6.1%), from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase of 6 figures (11.4%), and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 10 points (15.2%). Percentage from precycle was obtained by 20% and the first cycle was obtained by 56% and the second cycle of 100%. It seems clear that the step of the first cycle precycle to an increase of 36%, from the first cycle to the second cycle there is an increase by 44%, and from the second cycle precycle to an increase of 80%. Thus, student achievement in the learning of Natural Sciences at the material Energy and its amendment of precycle until the second cycle occurs a significant increase.
