Four new species—Endophragmiella chinensis, E. guangdongensis, E. lushanensis, and E. obovoidea—collected on dead branches of unidentified plants in southern China, are described, illustrated, and compared with closely related species. From the same habitat, three other species, E. cantabrica, E. ellisii, and E. uniseptata are recorded from China for the first time.

Six new species of the spider genus Tonsilla Wang & Yin, 1992 are described from southern China: T. jinyunensis sp. nov. (♂♀) from Chongqing, T. jiugongensis sp. nov. (♂♀) from Hubei, T. subtruculenta sp. nov. (♂♀), T. rutunda sp. nov. (♂♀) and T. yueliangensis sp. nov. (♂) from Guizhou and T. subrostrum sp. nov. (♂♀) from Hunan. In addition, T. yanlingensis (Zhang, Yin & Kim, 2000) is redescribed and its male is described here for the first time. Tonsilla subyanlingensis Liu & Xu, 2020 is transferred to Draconarius Ovtchinnikov, 1999, hence the new combination Draconarius subyanlingensis (Liu & Xu, 2020) comb. nov. is established. The female of T. subyanlingensis Liu & Xu, 2020 should be treated as T. yanlingensis (Zhang, Yin & Kim, 2000). Detailed descriptions, photographs of copulatory organs and somatic features, a distribution map and comparisons with closely related species are presented.

In this study, Fulvius anatolicus Çerçi & Gorczyca sp. n., Orthotylus (Pinocapsus) kmenti Çerçi & Koçak sp. n. (Miridae) and Lasiacantha karamanensis Çerçi & Koçak sp. n. (Tingidae) are described from Turkey. Dorsal habitus of each species, male and female genitalia of F. anatolicus sp. n. and male genitalia of O. (P.) kmenti sp. n. are illustrated. Differential diagnostic features between closely related species and the new species are given. Additionally, Hallodapus costae (Miridae) and Tempyra biguttula (Rhyparochromidae) are recorded from Turkey for the first time. Latter is a new alien species for the fauna of Turkey.

The spider genus Sinopoda Jäger, 1999 in China is studied. Seventeen new species are described: S. abstrusa sp. nov. (♂♀, Xizang), S. aequalis sp. nov. (♂♀, Henan), S. apiculiformis sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan), S. brevis sp. nov. (♂♀, Liaoning), S. changde sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan, Shaanxi), S. columnaris sp. nov. (♀, Guizhou), S. curva sp. nov. (♂, Guangxi), S. dehiscens sp. nov. (♀, Hunan), S. erromena sp. nov. (♀, Hunan), S. improcera sp. nov. (♂♀, Yunnan), S. lata sp. nov. (♀, Yunnan), S. luyui sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan, Gansu), S. ovata sp. nov. (♂♀, Chongqing), S. pyramidalis sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan), S. tumefacta sp. nov. (♂♀, Yunnan), S. yaanensis sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan, Yunnan), S. yanlingensis sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan). Five known species are redescribed or diagnosed and differentiated from related species: the males of S. liui Zhong, Cao & Liu, 2017 and S. longshan Yin, Peng, Yan & Bao, 2000 and the female of S. pengi Song & Zhu, 1999 are reported for the first time; the female of S. longiducta Zhang, Zhang & Zhang, 2015 is considered mismatched and transferred to S. yaanensis sp. nov.; photographs and new records are provided for S. globosa Zhang, Zhang & Zhang, 2015.

Recent collecting in northern Vietnam yielded specimens of several new leafhopper species, two of which represent new monotypic genera, and several additional species not previously recorded from Vietnam. The two new genera (Hochiminus n. gen. and Pseudocestius n. gen.) and 15 new species (Abrus digitatus n. sp., Aeternus ninhbinhensis n. sp., Drabescoides bispinosa n. sp., Tenompoella vietnamensis n. sp., Uzelina (Uzelina) vietnamensis sp. n., Hochiminhus tamdaoensis n. sp., Pseudocestius cucphuongensis n. sp., Phlogothamnus pseudorugosus n. sp., Scaphoidella albopunctata n. sp., Bundera onukiiformis n. sp., Carinata arcuata n. sp., Traiguma hamocauda n. sp., Signoretia tamdaoensis n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) curvata n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) excavata n. sp.) are described and illustrated and comparative notes are provided. An additional 28 species representing 20 genera are newly recorded from Vietnam. Most of the latter were previously recorded only from southern China. The enigmatic species, Tardrabassus pakneunensis Dai & Dietrich, previously known from two males collected in Laos in 1918, is newly recorded from Vietnam based on recently collected female specimens. The ovipositor structure of the female confirms placement of Tardrabassus in Iassinae. The female pregenital sternite and ovipositor of Hamulotettix ungulatus Dai & Zhang are also illustrated for the first time. A new synonymy is also proposed: Ujna consors Distant, 1908 equals Mileewa puerana Yang & Meng, 2010, n. syn.

The subgenus Epiphragma (Epiphragma) Osten Sacken, 1860 is recorded from Yunnan (Southwest China) for the first time. The following five species with two dark rings on the femora are described as new to science: E. mediale sp. nov., E. yunnanense sp. nov., E. ancistrum sp. nov., E. breve sp. nov. and E. elongatum sp. nov. Their relationships with closely related species are discussed. A key to the species of the subgenus Epiphragma from China is presented for the first time.

Two new species in the genera Spilogona Schnabl and Coenosia Meigen are described from Wrangel Island (Spilogonakhrulevae sp. nov. and Coenosia wrangelensis sp. nov.). Their differences from closely related species are shown by theirinclusion in keys to these genera. Coenosia sibirica Hennig is newly recorded from the Russian Arctic. The male terminalia of all species are figured.

Russula subrutilans sp. nov., a new species of Russula is described from southern China. It is unique for having buff pink to light congo-pink pileus, distant ventricose to subventricose lamellae with rare lamellulae, globose to broadly ellipsoid spores with bluntly conical warts forming a partial reticulum, and narrowly clavate to clavate cheilocystidia and pleurocysitidia with variable tips. Phylogenetic relationships among the new species and other closely related species in the genus are inferred based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region.

Dendrodontia hyphopaxillosa, a new epithelioid species from southern China in Polyporaceae is described and illustrated. The species is characterized by resupinate, adnate, effused basidiocarps, densely distributed cylindrical hyphal pegs, frequently branched contorted dendrohyphidia and small ellipsoid to subcylindrical basidiospores. Discriminating characters between the new species and closely related species are discussed, and an identification key to the species of Dendrodontia is provided.

Megadytes (Bifurcitus) ducalis Sharp, 1882 is the largest diving beetle in the world and has been considered a candidate for the world’s rarest insect (Jones 2010). It was described from "Brazil", is only known from the male holotype in the Natural History Museum (London), and typically thought to be extinct. Here we report the finding of 10 additional specimens, all collected at the end of the 19th century, which were discovered incidentally in different historical collections, including drawers with unsorted diving beetle accessions of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Paris). These specimens, whilst old, reveal exact locality data for the first time, enabling focused field campaigns to attempt to rediscover this giant alive. Locality labels all indicate Santo Antônio da Barra (present name Condeúba), in the southern part of Bahia, Brazil, suggesting that the species may have a restricted distribution in wetter parts of the Brazilian savanna or cerrado. We also describe the female of M. ducalis for the first time and present new records of the putatively closely related species Megadytes magnus Trémouilles & Bachmann, 1980 and M. lherminieri (Guérin-Méneville, 1829), the latter being recorded for the first time from Ecuador. These three morphologically similar species together form the subgenus Bifurcitus Brinck, 1945 and we provide photographs of their habitus, median lobes and other morphological details.

A new and four known species of the genus Diphtherophora—D. geraerti sp. n., D. caudata, D. obesa, D. perplexans and D. tenera—were collected and identified from different plants and localities in Iran. Morphological and morphometric characters of Diphtherophora geraerti sp. n. are compared with those of closely-related species, including D. siddiqii, D. brevicollis, D. lata, D. obesa, D. citri, D. vasilevi and D. vitoshae. Females of the new species have a head continuous with the body contour, spear 11–14 µm in length, rod-shaped spermatozoa and conical tail with bluntly rounded to hemispherical terminus. Males have two ventromedian neck papillae located 22–25 and 52–60 µm from the anterior end, and two ventromedian supplements at 11–13 and 75–80 µm anterior from cloacal aperture, respectively. All Diphtherophora species recovered as part of the present study are new records for the Iranian nematode fauna. Finally, a diagnostic compendium is given, to assist with species identification in the genus.
