New geological data of the south regional fault studies is presented. The most prospective area occupies extreme south-east of the Mikhailivsko-Leventsivskiy anticline slope. Layers of Carboniferous and Devonian are considered prospective according to geological and geophysical survey results. Methods and scope of exploration are identified by positive results provided by drilling in the adjacent areas of single exploratory and prospecting wells and by data of analog fields such as Leventsivske, Golubivske and Illichivske as well as other factors that prove feasibility of further geological exploration aimed to discover new deposits.

The article presents the results of geological exploration carried out in 2016–2018 in the Sinskaya area, located on the adjacent territory of the Vilyui syneclise and Aldan anteclise. Based on the complex of geochemical and seismic surveys in the northern part of the area, the identification of predicted oil and gas accumulation zones is substantiated. Predicted zones are distinguished at the site of reduced thicknesses and pinch-out of Permian and Triassic deposits. Taking into account the nature of concentration variations of HC components sorbed by subsoil sediments, it is assumed that hydrocarbon fluids have predominantly gas-condensate state. The appearance of the oil phase is predicted for the southern perspective zone. On the ground of predictive definitions and the results of performed operations, recommendations were given on the placement of parametric drilling and allocation of licensed blocks for subsequent exploration. Prognosis evaluations of HC resources are done.

Banyumas basin is oneof sedimentary basin inIndonesia whichhasn’t proven yet its economical hydrocarbonreserves, although there are several oil and gas seeps in this area which is indicate mature source rocks had been migrated. One of itsgas seep is located on Karanglewas village, Jatilawang, Banyumas which hadbeen flowing its gases since tens years ago. Geoelectrical method and Stratigraphic studyare the methods usedin this research to built a geological subsurface model of Jatilawang’s gas seep.Geoelectrical method isintent to finding the distribution of gas seep over the area and also to finding the direction of fault structure which can be act asa path for gases to flowing up. Stratigraphic study comprise of lithology description, strike and dip measurement, and study of other secondary geological data. Interpreted subsurfacegeological model showing that sandstone dominated bed of Halang Formation is filled by gases and become gas pockets near the surface. Fault direction also interpreted from correlation of these gas pockets and resulting directionof N 115° E and dip of fault plane is45°.Gas flowing through fault and probably the source comes from gas cap of Jatilawang’s anticline. Predicted location of gas cap is about 610 meters to the south, and depthabout 620 meters.

Geophysical prospecting technology is widely used in current geological exploration, metal exploration, oil and gas resources exploration, etc. This technology has many advantages such as low cost, high efficiency and good accuracy of survey results, and plays an important role in many industries. At present, the level of geophysical prospecting technology in China is constantly improving, and its application effect is also constantly improving, so it is necessary to clarify the key application points of this technology. Therefore, this paper will conduct in-depth research and Analysis on the important applications of geophysical exploration technology, elaborate the basic concepts and specific applications of geophysical exploration technology, and put forward some reasonable opinions and measures, in order to further improve the application level of this technology.

This paper deals with the results of sociological survey focused on identification of the attitudes of elderly people to further education. The research was carried out in September 2010. Experience of elderly people with further education, their readiness (determination) for further education as well as their motivation and barriers in further education were also subjects of this research. Detecting elderly population’s awareness of universities of the third age and finding out their further education preferences were an integral part of the research. Research sample consisted of citizens over 55 years living in the South Moravian region. The survey results are structured by socio-demographic features e.g.: age, sex, educational attainment etc. and provide an interesting insight into the attitudes of the target group to one of the activities that contributes to improvement of their quality of life.
