This chapter analyzes fuzzy reliability theory using bibliometric analysis. Different aspects of fuzzy have already been analyzed using bibliometric analysis, and a series of bibliometric tools have also been used. VOSviewer software was used to identify maps showing the most relevant trends. The analysis includes scientific articles, citations, journals, authors, universities, keywords, and countries. Results show that countries belonging mainly to Asia are at the avant-garde in terms of research in the field, China and India being the most productive countries in terms of the number of articles published, citations, and universities invested in the topic. Other countries in North America, such as Canada and the United States, and in Europe, the UK, Poland, Italy, and France, also show a great interest in this area of science. Research on the topic is relatively recent. The first articles were published in 1991; therefore, it presents excellent opportunities that will quite possibly attract researchers and universities from different regions of the world.

Since the theory of planned behavior (TPB) was proposed by Ajzen in 1985, it has attracted extensive interest and been widely applied worldwide. Although an increasing number of studies have employed the TPB in the domain of environmental science, there have been no attempts to retrospectively analyze existing articles. The current study aimed to holistically understand the application status of the TPB in environmental science from a knowledge domain visualization perspective. A total of 531 journal articles were obtained through the Scopus database to perform a bibliometric analysis and content analysis. The results showed that waste management, green consumption, climate and environment, saving and conservation, and sustainable transportation are the primary research topics; the United States (U.S.), Mainland China, the United Kingdom (UK), and Malaysia are the most productive countries/regions. Moreover, the cross-disciplinary situations, main source journals, and key articles were revealed. Furthermore, the extended factors, integrated theories, major methods, specific groups, and control variables of environmental science research using the TPB were elaborated and integrated into a comprehensive application framework. Constructive criticisms were ultimately discussed. The findings contribute in several ways to help relevant researchers learn about the application of TPB to environmental science and provide new insights and holistic references for further research on environment-related behavior.

The lack of knowledge about the COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged extensive research in the academic sphere, reflected in the exponentially growing scientific literature. While the state of COVID-19 research reveals it is currently in an early stage of developing knowledge, a comprehensive and in-depth overview is still missing. Accordingly, the paper’s main aim is to provide an extensive bibliometric analysis of COVID-19 research across the science and social science research landscape, using innovative bibliometric approaches (e.g., Venn diagram, Biblioshiny descriptive statistics, VOSviewer co-occurrence network analysis, Jaccard distance cluster analysis, text mining based on binary logistic regression). The bibliometric analysis considers the Scopus database, including all relevant information on COVID-19 related publications (n = 16,866) available in the first half of 2020. The empirical results indicate the domination of health sciences in terms of number of relevant publications and total citations, while physical sciences and social sciences and humanities lag behind significantly. Nevertheless, there is an evidence of COVID-19 research collaboration within and between different subject area classifications with a gradual increase in importance of non-health scientific disciplines. The findings emphasize the great need for a comprehensive and in-depth approach that considers various scientific disciplines in COVID-19 research so as to benefit not only the scientific community but evidence-based policymaking as part of efforts to properly respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract BackgroundMesenchymal stromal/stem cells have garnered much interest in the field of cancer biology. Bibliometric analysis of a scientific field has the potential to reveal insights pertaining to the maturity of the field, the hotspot sources of publication and temporal shifts in research subcategories within the field. Despite the benefits of such an analysis, one has not been conducted to date.MethodsThe Web of Science™database and VOSviewer software were used to analyse publication and citation data for all publications relating to Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cells in oncology. Contributions to the literature were also identified by country, journal and cancer type. Keyword analysis identified trends in developing research categories.Results9927 published articles were analysed. The current publication rate fits an exponential trend(r2 = 0.97). The U.S. and the People’s Republic of China have the highest overall publications but when corrected for population and citations per article, the most successful countries are Singapore, Luxembourg and Switzerland. In the past 15 years 74% of articles have been in cancer specific journals. Breast cancer publications account for 42% of common cancer articles. Most articles were published in journals that had a basic science focus (44%). Keyword analysis resulted in 3 distinct clusters aligned with 1. Characterisation and nomenclature, 2.Clinical and 3.Molecular function. The most recent publications favour topics on Molecular function. ConclusionsResearch on Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cells in oncology is experiencing exponential growth. There is widespread acceptance of basic science research on MSCs in cancer specific journals and a niche for more translational and clinically focused studies.
