Based on general investigations and utilizing GIS software, missing historical data was hypothesized. From the perspectives of social and economic development, this paper tries to find the logic behind the formation and development of traditional settlements. Using systematic examination, the features of the town’s overall layout, courtyard shape and building materials appear. Applying comparative analysis, this paper indicated the similarities and differences between Tangyin town and the other areas of Jiangxi, and add them to the construction logic of the middle area in Jiangxi to make the following construction activities much in order.

The knowledge of moisture transfer in multi-layered building materials and components using numerical simulations is fundamental to predict the behaviour of that building materials and components when in contact with moisture and to avoid some possible future pathology guarantying a correct performance. This paper describes a comparative analysis of experimental values of Hygric Permeance (HP) obtained by water absorption curves and gamma-ray attenuation profiles, for perfect contact interface.

This paper presents the results of a study of the compressive strength of concrete in a cyclic solar chamber. The analysis of the existing types of industrial solar chambers is carried out and the main structural elements are considered. The method of calculating the solar chamber for the production of concrete products is presented. Experiments were carried out on heavy concrete compositions using MC-Bauchemie superplasticizers additives: MC-PowerFlow 3100 and MC-PowerFlow 2695. The samples were kept in a cyclical solar chamber. The strength of concrete was determined at different periods of concrete hardening. A comparative analysis of the results of the compressive strength of concrete in a solar and normal hardening chamber is carried out.

Considered is the solution to the problem of choosing an economical option for the construction of low-rise buildings and the creation of new economical design solutions with high thermal performance. The well-known technologies of building construction are analyzed using qualitative, quantitative and comparative analysis. Quantitative indicators were selected, such as wall thickness, weight of 1 m2 of wall, resistance to heat transfer, area of premises, cost, durability, tendency to shrinkage. As qualitative indicators used: seasonality of the use of solutions, resistance to the formation of mold, decay and destruction, especially the delivery of building materials. The method of multi-criteria analysis was also applied to determine the most effective technology. Calculated the cost of various types of design solutions based on economic calculated simulations. The technological solutions were assessed by quantitative criteria on a ten-point scale, where the minimum and maximum values were assigned points 1 and 10, respectively. Graphic modeling of the compared construction options was carried out and the corresponding diagrams were built. Added “weight” coefficient of criteria for the final decision on the choice of the optimal technology for the construction of buildings. The most effective constructive solution was selected based on the results of a comparative analysis, taking into account the “weight” coefficient.

The concept of sustainable building incorporates and integrates a variety of strategies during the design, construction and operation of building projects. The use of green building materials and products represents one important strategy in the design of a building. Green building materials offer specific benefits to the building owner and building occupants such as reducing maintenance/replacement costs over the life of the building, energy conservation, improving occupant health and productivity, and greater design flexibility. Thus, the aim of this paper is to identify the similarities and the differences for the selected green assessment tools which can be obtained stage by stage of the RIBA Outline Plan of Work 2013. The study had been carried out through a comparative analysis. The finding is predicted to help the construction industry practitioners to be able to understand the assessment criteria involved at every stages in the construction process concerning on material and recourses. Especially for those who are concerned on green building and to sustain our natural environment.
