The use of technology makes employees able to achieve high satisfaction and productivity. To be able to take advantage of existing technology, a collaboration between employees is needed through knowledge sharing. This study focuses on the context of the role of task-technology fit in mediating the relationship of knowledge sharing intention to employee satisfaction and performance. This is explanatory research was conducted through a  survey of  412 employees of the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) in the East Java Province. The structural Equation Model (SEM) approach was used and 214 questionnaires were processed with WarpPLS. The results of this study indicate that knowledge sharing, intention affects task-technology fit (TTF) and task-technology fit (TTF) also has a significant effect on employee satisfaction and performance.

We explored the mediating role of perceived organizational support (POS) on the relationship between job security and 2 dimensions important in employee work outcomes: extrarole behavior and turnover intention. Participants were 212 subordinate team members and their supervisors, who were employed by an air transportation group in China, and we found that POS partially mediated the relationship between job security and extrarole behavior and fully mediated the relationship between job security and turnover intention. Implications for management practice and limitations in this study are discussed.

This research aimed to discover and explain the role of employee satisfaction on the influences of work discipline and employee motivation on employee performance at The Research and Development Department of Ministry of Transportation, Republic of Indonesia. The research method used a quantitative approach. The population was 160 employees of that department. The sample taken by Slovin’s formula with 5% error tolerance was 115 respondents. The data collection technique was administered through questionnaires by convenience method. Data were analyzed by using SEM SmartPLS version 3.2.8 for Windows. The results showed that: work discipline had significant and positive influence on both employee performance and employee satisfaction; employee employee motivation had significant and positive influence on both employee performance and employee satisfaction. However, the path analysis results showed that the indirect influences of work discipline and employee employee motivation on employee performance through the mediating role of employee satisfaction were both smaller than their direct influences.

Purpose Building on organizational support theory and social exchange theory, the purpose of this paper is to study the impact of organizational support on employee performance (EP) in the context of flexible manufacturing. In particular, the authors aimed to investigate the mediating role of employee attitude between organizational support and EP, and the moderating role of organizational justice (OJ). Design/methodology/approach A total of 180 participants from 36 work teams employed in 7 large automotive manufacturing enterprises in China were surveyed using a questionnaire designed by the authors. Multiple linear regressions were used to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings The results revealed four new performance indicators of frontline workers in the context of flexible manufacturing: continuous learning, teamwork, problem solving and active work. Organizational support can be divided into reinforcing support and inhibitive support. Reinforcing organizational support has a positive effect on new performance of frontline workers, and a sense of belonging plays a strong mediating role between them. Inhibitive organizational support plays an important role in the sense of awe (SA) of employees, but the SA has no influence on new performance of frontline workers. OJ plays a strong moderating role between organizational support and employee attitudes. Originality/value This study is one of the first attempts to explore the performance of frontline workers in the context of flexible manufacturing and contributes to the existing literature on the relationship between organizational support and EP.

While a number of previous studies have examined how the demographic diversity of corporate board members influences firm performance and diversity policies, we know little about its effects on employee attitudes. Drawing on organizational support and social exchange theories, we propose that firms with demographically diverse boards are more likely to adopt progressive management programs valued by employees and that such corporate-level practices, in turn, promote higher levels of employee satisfaction. We analyze data from 420 companies across many industries to examine the effects of corporate board diversity on employee satisfaction, and find the relationship to be mediated by the implementation of specific corporate practices. Firms with diverse boards are more likely to adopt programs that signal organizational support for employees and benevolence, and these programs foster more positive satisfaction levels.
