As technology increases rapidly in a far better way, there is a need for automation in every field for better future. The growth in construction field in our country has seen extreme levels over the decade. So, to improve further, we need to reduce the manual work. A sand sieving machine has the function to sieve sand and stone that is mixed together. It gives sand with different grade at higher efficiency than manual work. Using machine mechanism driven by electricity power, we can reduce the time to sieve.

This paper analyzes electricity markets in Slovenia during the specific period of market deregulation and price liberalization. The drivers of electricity prices and electricity consumption are investigated. The Slovenian electricity markets are analyzed in relation with the European Energy Exchange (EEX) market. Associations between electricity prices on the one hand, and primary energy prices, variation in air temperature, daily maximum electricity power, and cross-border grid prices on the other hand, are analyzed separately for industrial and household consumers. Monthly data are used in a regression analysis during the period of Slovenia’s electricity market deregulation and price liberalization. Empirical results show that electricity prices achieved in the EEX market were significantly associated with primary energy prices. In Slovenia, the prices for daily maximum electricity power were significantly associated with electricity prices achieved on the EEX market. The increases in electricity prices for households, however, cannot be explained with developments in electricity prices on the EEX market. As the period analyzed is the stage of market deregulation and price liberalization, this can have important policy implications for the countries that still have regulated and monopolized electricity markets. Opening the electricity markets is expected to increase competition and reduce pressures for electricity price increases. However, the experiences and lessons learned among the countries following market deregulation and price liberalization are mixed. For industry, electricity prices affect cost competitiveness, while for households, electricity prices, through expenses, affect their welfare. A competitive and efficient electricity market should balance between suppliers’ and consumers’ market interests. With greening the energy markets and the development of the CO2 emission trading market, it is also important to encourage use of renewable energy sources.

This article analyses the interaction of the algorithmic workplace regime and the migration regime in manual work in platform logistics and manufacturing in Germany. Based on ethnographic case studies, the article reconstructs how companies integrate migrant workers by using systems of algorithmic work control. These simplify the labour process and direct workers without relying on a certain language. Algorithmic work control, however, does not realise its intended disciplining effects on its own but is dependent on external factors. A precarious residence status is such an external disciplining factor as it can create an implicit alliance of migrant workers with their employers in the hope for permanent residence. Nonetheless, the interaction of the two regimes also produced new forms of solidarity between the workers, which in some cases led to new forms of self-organisation. Thus, workplace regime and migration regime co-constitute each other.

AbstractThis paper describes a program—SPARQL Query Generator (SQG)—which takes as input an OWL ontology, a set of object descriptions in terms of this ontology and an OWL class as the context, and generates relatively large numbers of queries about various types of descriptions of objects expressed in RDF/OWL. The intent is to use SQG in evaluating data representation and retrieval systems from the perspective of OWL semantics coverage. While there are many benchmarks for assessing the efficiency of data retrieval systems, none of the existing solutions for SPARQL query generation focus on the coverage of the OWL semantics. Some are not scalable since manual work is needed for the generation process; some do not consider (or totally ignore) the OWL semantics in the ontology/instance data or rely on large numbers of real queries/datasets that are not readily available in our domain of interest. Our experimental results show that SQG performs reasonably well with generating large numbers of queries and guarantees a good coverage of OWL axioms included in the generated queries.

Blanks made from sheet steel or other materials have burrs on their edges. The burrs are formed on the blanks at cutting down or processing of them by cutting tools. Removing of the burrs requires a lot of manual work. Frequently the blanks have small rigidity, and it especially complicates removal of the burrs. This article describes intensification of the magnetic abrasive finishing method (MAF) with a goal to eliminate the manual deburring and to raise productivity of deburring on the flexible blanks. The study goal was achieved by optimization of MAF conditions and a of the work area geometrical form.
