Discourse marker sih is a common feature of questions in colloquial Indonesian.  The results of previous research show a contrast function of sihs in questions. The questions in which sihs occur are called marked questions. The present study explored the functions of sihs by contrasting marked and unmarked questions produced by the same speakers. The marked questions can occur before the unmarked questions or in reverse order. In both patterns, the marked questions indicate speakers’ great willingness to know. They also show speakers’ way to attract hearers’ attention. The unmarked questions were used when the speakers elicit more accurate and precious answers. Moreover, they were uttered when the hearers do not catch the idea mentioned in the first question. They were uttered because the hearers’ ask for repetition.

AbstractIn this paper, the blind signal separation problem of complex baseband signal is addressed. A widely linear complex autoregressive process of order one is employed to represent the temporal structure of complex sources. We formulate a new contrast function by a convex combination of generalized autocorrelations and the statistics of the innovation. And the proposed contrast function is optimized by gradient method. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is better than the comparison algorithm in convergence speed and convergence accuracy.

AbstractIn this paper, a novel alternating direction method of multiplier (ADMM) is proposed to solve the inverse scattering problems. The proposed method is suitable for a wide range of applications with electromagnetic detection. In order to solve the internal ill-posed problem of the integral equation and make the reconstructed images more closer to the ground truth, first, the augmented Lagrangian method is introduced to transform the complex constrained optimization problem into the extremum problem of unconstrained cost function. Therefore, two artificial regularization factors of the cost function are optimized. Then, this proposed method decomposes the unconstrained global problem in the inversion process into three linear sub-problem forms of contrast source function, contrast function, and dual variables. And the form of the updated algebra for each sub-problem is not complicated. By cross-iterating and updating contrast source function, contrast function, and dual variables, the global minimization of the cost function can be accurately found. Finally, the proposed method is compared with the existing well-known iterative method for solving the inverse scattering problem. Both the numerical and experimental tests verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed ADMM.

This paper is concerned with the least squares estimation of drift parameters for the Cox–Ingersoll–Ross (CIR) model driven by small symmetrical α-stable noises from discrete observations. The contrast function is introduced to obtain the explicit formula of the estimators and the error of estimation is given. The consistency and the rate of convergence of the estimators are proved. The asymptotic distribution of the estimators is studied as well. Finally, some numerical calculus examples and simulations are given.
