The method for estimating the influence of polar groups on the temperature of the onset of the intense thermal degradation of polymers under heating is proposed. This estimate is based on the equation for calculating this value for the entire repeating link proposed earlier [1-4]. The method is computerized and is included as an integral part of the computer program "Cascade" (INEOS RAS). The calculated estimation is carried out for one of the structures of the rejected cycloaliphatic epoxy resin. The most "weak" group was the group –CO–. The temperature of the onset of intensive thermal degradation of this group is 547 K.

Some controversy exists as to the most efficacious method of training to achieve enhanced levels of sport performance. Controversy concerning the efficacy of periodization and especially block periodization (BP) likely stems from the use of poorly or untrained subjects versus trained who may differ in their responses to a stimulus. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of training status on performance outcomes resulting from 11 weeks of BP training. Fifteen males were recruited for this study and placed into strong (age = 24.3 ± 1.9 years., body mass (BM) = 87.7 ± 8.7 kg, squat: body mass = 1.96 ± 0.16), moderate (age = 25.3 ± 2.7 years., body mass = 100.2 ± 15.5 kg, squat: body mass = 1.46 ± 0.14), or weak (age = 23.2 ± 3.9 yrs., body mass = 83.5 ± 17.1 kg, squat: body mass = 1.17 ± 0.07) groups based on relative strength. Testing was completed at baseline, and after each block which consisted of 1 repetition maximum (1RM) squat, 0 kg static jump (SJ), 0 kg countermovement jump (CMJ), 20 kg SJ, and 20 kg CMJ. Absolute and relative strength were strongly correlated with rates of improvement for absolute strength, relative strength, 0 kg, and 20 kg vertical jumps. All subjects substantially improved back squat (p < 0.001), relative back squat (p < 0.001) with large–very large effect sizes between groups for percent change favoring the weak group over the moderate and strong group for all performance variables. All subjects showed statistically significant improvements in 0 kg SJ (p < 0.001), 0 kg CMJ (p < 0.001), 20 kg SJ (p = 0.002), and 20 kg CMJ (p < 0.001). Statistically significant between group differences were noted for both 20 kg SJ (p = 0.01) and 20 kg CMJ (p = 0.043) with the strong group statistically greater jump heights than the weak group. The results of this study indicate BP training is effective in improving strength and explosive ability. Additionally, training status may substantially alter the response to a resistance training program.

Abstract Purpose This FAEISS study was designed to confirm the superior efficacy of reactive topical corticosteroid strategies employing serially ranking-DOWN from very strong steroid levels for the treatment of facial acneiform rash induced by epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors (EGFRIs), in comparison with strategies employing serially ranking-UP from weak steroid levels. This article reports the primary results of the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) part of the trial. Methods Patients with EGFR-mutated advanced NSCLC treated with erlotinib or afatinib were enrolled in the first registration. All patients received preemptive therapy with oral minocycline and heparinoid moisturizer from the initiation of an EGFR inhibitor. Enrolled patients who developed facial acneiform rash within 2 weeks were randomized at second registration to either a ranking-UP (WEAK) group or a ranking-DOWN group. The primary endpoint was incidence of grade ≥ 2 facial acneiform rash over 8 weeks. Results Fifty-one patients were enrolled at the first registration and received EGFRIs (n = 30 for afatinib, n = 21 for erlotinib). However, 35 patients did not develop facial acneiform rash within 2 weeks; one patient discontinued preemptive treatment. Fifteen patients (29.4%) were enrolled in the second registration; nine were assigned to the WEAK group and six to the DOWN group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of grade ≥ 2 facial acneiform rash between the WEAK group (one patient, twice) and the DOWN group (one patient, twice; p = 0.8417). No patients developed severe facial acneiform rash within 10 weeks. Conclusion In NSCLC patients who received EGFRIs, preemptive therapy of oral minocycline and heparinoid moisturizer reduced facial acneiform rash incidence. Trial registration UMIN000024113

The essence of empowerment was to build community’s consciousness of recognizing the existing potency and to utilize such potency to deal with the problems encountered. Therefore, community empowerment is highly determined by the community itself, rather than by outsiders facilitating. This research aimed to describe concept, implementation, and output of food self-sufficiency development conducted by Geneng Hamlet people in Jambakan Village of Bayat Sub District of Klaten Regency in solving the problem faced. The research was conducted using qualitative approach. Data was explored using observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive technique. The result of research showed that the concept of dealing with food vulnerability during dry season was designed by submitting infaq to Al-Ikhlas mosque in the form of dry rice in each of harvest seasons. In implementation domain, this collected infaq was managed professionally through rice barn (lumbung) to be distributed to its jamaah (community) in the form of loan and sympathetic care. The output was very positive as it could suffice the need for food during dry season, people can access the resource needed, and rice barn could help the weak group and the meritorious people in Geneng Hamlet.
