Today, with the rapid development of economic level, people’s esthetic requirements are also rising, they have a deeper emotional understanding of art, and the voice of their traditional art and culture is becoming higher. The study expects to explore the performance of advanced affective computing in the recognition and analysis of emotional features of Chinese paintings at the 13th National Exhibition of Fines Arts. Aiming at the problem of “semantic gap” in the emotion recognition task of images such as traditional Chinese painting, the study selects the AlexNet algorithm based on convolutional neural network (CNN), and further improves the AlexNet algorithm. Meanwhile, the study adds chi square test to solve the problems of data redundancy and noise in various modes such as Chinese painting. Moreover, the study designs a multimodal emotion recognition model of Chinese painting based on improved AlexNet neural network and chi square test. Finally, the performance of the model is verified by simulation with Chinese painting in the 13th National Exhibition of Fines Arts as the data source. The proposed algorithm is compared with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), CNN, Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), AlexNet, and Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithms from the training set and test set, respectively, The emotion recognition accuracy of the proposed algorithm reaches 92.23 and 97.11% in the training set and test set, respectively, the training time is stable at about 54.97 s, and the test time is stable at about 23.74 s. In addition, the analysis of the acceleration efficiency of each algorithm shows that the improved AlexNet algorithm is suitable for processing a large amount of brain image data, and the acceleration ratio is also higher than other algorithms. And the efficiency in the test set scenario is slightly better than that in the training set scenario. On the premise of ensuring the error, the multimodal emotion recognition model of Chinese painting can achieve high accuracy and obvious acceleration effect. More importantly, the emotion recognition and analysis effect of traditional Chinese painting is the best, which can provide an experimental basis for the digital understanding and management of emotion of quintessence.

Chinese painting is one of the representatives of our country’s outstanding traditional culture, and it embodies the long history and intellectual wisdom of the Chinese nation. In the paper, we combine the artistic characteristics of Chinese paintings and use an optimized SqueezeNet model to study the sentiment analysis of Chinese paintings. To make full use of the advantages of lightweight convolutional neural networks, we make two optimizations based on SqueezeNet. On the one hand, expand the model width to obtain more effective Chinese painting sentiment features for classification tasks, thereby improving the classification accuracy of the model. On the other hand, introduce the idea of residual network to prevent gradient disappearance and gradient explosion in the training process, thereby enhancing the model’s generalization ability. To verify the effectiveness of the optimized SqueezeNet model used in the sentiment analysis of Chinese paintings, four kinds of sentiment classifications were carried out on the multitheme Chinese paintings downloaded on the Internet. The results of comparative experiments show that the optimized SqueezeNet model used in this paper can improve the accuracy of classification and has better generalization ability. Finally, the research results of this paper can be applied to the protection of traditional culture, the appreciation of traditional Chinese painting, and art education and training, which is conducive to the inheritance and innovation of the national quintessence and promotes the prosperity and development of traditional art and culture.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group art therapy using traditional Chinese materials on improving the self-efficacy and social function of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. In China, little research has been conducted on patients to measure the effectiveness of group art therapy, especially using traditional Chinese materials. To address this research gap, 104 individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia were tested in a group art therapy program that included 30 treatment sessions and used a wide variety of materials, including traditional Chinese materials, such as Chinese calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, Chinese embroidery, and Chinese beads. The effect of art therapy was analyzed using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and Scale of Social Skills for Psychiatric Inpatients (SSPI). This study demonstrates that group art therapy using traditional Chinese materials can improve self-efficacy and social function, reducing social and life function problems, and promote the recovery of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Tang Dynasty was the golden age of feudal China. Chinese politics, economy, and culture grew unprecedentedly during this period, and fine brushwork figure painting also developed rapidly at the same time. As an important branch of Chinese painting, fine brushwork figure painting has an important and special position and profound connotation in traditional Chinese painting art. The emotional expression in the fine brushwork figure painting also plays a central role in expressing the painter’s intention perception of real life and the pursuit of a yearning life.

The selection of traditional Chinese painting materials is often accompanied by other meanings given by people, and the process of giving meaning is the process of information development. Wintersweet, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, from their own form and people’s observation of them, have been given a special meaning: wintersweet, proud like snow and decent people; orchid, symbolizing the gentleman’s integrity and independence; bamboo, symbolizing the gentleman’s humility; chrysanthemum, symbolizing the gentleman’s hidden inner world, which is not trapped in the trivial things. This development process deals with the development process of in-itself information, for-itself information, and regenerated information. The wintersweet, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum expressed by the artist in Chinese traditional painting is the social information of the three states of in-itself information, for-itself information, and regenerated information of three-state information. The selection of traditional Chinese painting materials has gone through the same process.
