EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN EU COUNTRIES IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The circular economy is interpreted as a stable economic system, which aims at eliminating the consequences and costs, as well as providing a constant cycle of necessary resources. That is why it is so important to conduct its assessment today. The object of the article is the state of the circulating economy of the leading countries of the world. The purpose of the article is to assess the possibilities and mechanisms of the circular economy in the context of the introduction of the European Union. The methodological basis is a system of mutually complementary general scientific and special methods of cognition. To assess the quality of the implementation of the circular economy, we have chosen the recycling method as the most relevant and easiest to use. The study examined the essence, progress, principles and main advantages of using the circular economy model in the context of implementing this model in 20 countries of the European Union, and the model for analysing the processing possibilities in the European Union as a basic tool for assessing the implementation of a circular economy are presented.

Travelling Scientist, Circulating Images and the Making of the Modern Scientific Journal

The early astrophysicist Norman Lockyer was both editor of the journal Nature from its creation in 1869 and for the following five decades, and an early practioner of the new astronomy. He frequently used the journal to expound his scientific theories, report on his work and send news home while on expeditions. I look into the particular visual culture of astrophysics developed by Lockyer in Nature, its evolution at a time of rapid development both of the techniques of astrophysical observation and visualization and of the techniques of image reproduction in print. A study of the use and reuse of visual materials in different settings also makes it possible to sketch the circulating economy of Lockyer’s images and the ways in which he put himself forward as a scientist, at a time when he was advocating the State support of research and scientists and helping create the modern scientific journal.

Construction of Circulating Economy Development Model for New Generation Iron and Steel Plant

The problems existing in the development of modern iron and steel industry is analyzed in this paper, and a basic development model of circulating economy in modern iron and steel industry is put forward. There are three basic functions for new generation of circulating iron and steel enterprises include steel product manufacture, energy conversion, and the social waste disposal, circulating economy will become the only approach of survival and development for the contemporary steel enterprises in the future. In this article the design philosophy of the high-efficiency circulating new generation steel plant combine with the design of Shougang Jingtang iron and steel plant is discussed and evaluated. The application of principle of the reduction, reusing, recycling for the new generation steel plant design is introduced and expatiated.

Philosophy and Application on Circulating Economy for Contemporary Steel Plant

Steel is an important and indispensable foundational material of human social development. Modern iron and steel production is not only a single function of steel product manufacture, also must have two functions of highly efficient energy conversion and disposal the waste and realize the function of resource recovery. Under the condition of shortage of the current resources, inadequate energy supply, and the ecological environment constraint, the modern steel plant have to build a circulating economy development mode, to achieve reduction, recycling and reusing. Combining with the Shougang Jingtang steel plant design and construction, the application and effect of development of circulating economy in modern steel plant has been expatiated in this paper.
