We analyze a divisible good uniform‐price auction that features two groups, each with a finite number of identical bidders, who compete in demand schedules. In the linear‐quadratic‐normal framework, this paper presents conditions under which the unique equilibrium in linear demands exists and derives novel comparative statics results that highlight the interaction between payoff and information parameters with asymmetric groups. We find that the strategic complementarity in the slopes of traders' demands is reinforced by inference effects from prices, and we display the role of payoff and information asymmetries in explaining deadweight losses. Furthermore, price impact and the deadweight loss need not move together, and market integration may reduce welfare. The results are consistent with the available empirical evidence.

A Tungsten oxide (WO3) film on top of a glass substrate had been successfully constructed. The immobilization of tungsten oxide was performed using spray-deposition method. The precursor volume was varied as 5 mL, 10 mL and 25 mL. Characterization using XRD and SEM yield that precursor volume influence the quality of the film. It was found that the good uniform film was obtained using precursor volume 5 mL and 10 mL. The crack which was resulted from non-uniformity of the film appear when the precursor film was 25 mL.

Based on the analysis of the transmission process of light-beam in edge-lighting flat light-guide plate with Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) as a light source, this thesis achieved an arrangement formula and related method to design this kind of light-guide plate with scattering netted dots. According to the method, the designs of flat light-guide plate with scattering netted dots were simulated and analyzed by using ASAP software. Comparing the method with others, it was confirmed that the method was feasible and the good uniform luminance distribution on the flat light-guide plate for LCD was obtained by using this method. Key words: light-guide plate, scattering netted dots, the function of netted dots filling ratios

We composed optical system which is made of two optical lenses, beam expander, and Laser Diode(LD). When the light from the LD pointed to the remote moving object, we optically aligned to achieve full power performance in the given angle range. We also reviewed optical design data with Light Tools, and measured some factors including LD cell, surface roughness and refringence. The result shows that the laser point source optical system displayed good uniform power shape, and the LD used for this experiment to be guaranteed superior output power performance compared to conventional specifications.

In this paper, the stability of local transductive regression algorithms is studied by adopting a strategy which adjusts the sample set by removing one or two elements from it. A sufficient condition for uniform stability is given. The result of our work shows that if a local transductive regression algorithm uses square loss, and if for any x, a kernel function K(x, x) has a limited upper bound, then the local transductive regression algorithm which minimizes the standard form will have good uniform stability.

A multi-channel optical modulator with 16 independent modulators is fabricated using an electro-optic (EO) polymer with a large EO coefficient and good thermal stability. The 16-channel modulator has lumped type electrodes for modulation and heaters for thermal biasing. The device has good uniform modulation characteristics between individual modulators. The deviation of half-wave voltages is 0.2 V and that of insertion losses about 1 dB. Crosstalks range from -28 to -36 dB and extinction ratios are more than 21 dB.

ABSTRACTMagnetic nanoparticles embedded in polymer matrices have excellent potential for electromagnetic device applications like EMI noise reduction. We have synthesized polystyrene (PS) and polypyrrole (PPy) composites by controllably dispersing bare and PS-coated Fe nanoparticles. These nanocomposites were processed as spin-coated thin films as well as in bulk form. The processing conditions were optimized to achieve good uniform dispersion of the nanoparticles in the polymer matrix. SEM scans revealed clustering of nanoparticles which was particularly evident at the surface in the conducting polymer nanocomposites. Magnetic hysteresis loop measurements indicate large coercivities associated with the clusters and surface oxidation of the Fe particles. Overall, the excellent dispersion coupled with reasonable control over magnetic properties achieved in our experiments is promising for electromagnetic applications of these materials.
